I see people say this but I went into a K Mart in the middle of know where Northern California and got him off the peg.
There was a great post on He-man.org listing the characters that had been teased through boxart. It'll take a little time to reconstruct but Frog Monger was teased over a year ago.
Yeah thats true of lots of them Frog Monger was first shown on Rise Of Evil and then on a number of subsequent packages.
In terms of variants, I remember that Laser Power He-Man/Skeletor, Minicomics Randor/Marlena, Filmation Marlena, and Filmation She-Ra have all appeared in packaging and minicomics. I know Axel and the others have routinely worked in Fuerza-T and that Mattel removed Fuerza-T from the finished art in every case but one (Wind Raider?) and that one case desaturated them so the colors were no longer visible. At this point, I think virtually all of the remaining vintage figures have been teased except for Dragstor, Blast Attak, Rio Blast, and the Comet Warriors. All vintage PoG have been teased. Queen Grayskull (200x) has had her design used as Revelation Grayskull's wife in the prequel comic by Kevin Smith. (I think Smith made He-Ro their son?) I could easily see a PoG refresh similar to Rise of the Snakemen with retail King Grayskull (different cardback, plastic cape), Queen Grayskull, the PoG trio (He-Ro, Eldor, Sharella), assorted kitbashed Snakemen by Axel... I doubt they'd go 100% PoG so probably various modern characters. If a PoG refresh follows the pattern of Rise of the Snake Men, I'd guess around 10 true PoG characters, 10 other characters (that's a year at retail), plus assorted exclusives that could be either. I lean towards there being up to three releases of He-Ro: Gold vac metal, gold plastic, the silver look from Tytus' vintage box art. I could easily see the PoG character core lineup being: He-Ro Sharella Eldor King Grayskull Queen Grayskull (200x) King Hiss (200x -- I doubt they give him a deluxe slot twice but you can parts swap) Gorpo (They haven't reused the Orko base body) 3 Snake Men Plus exclusives. I figure the deluxe slots go heavy on vintage characters since so many of them have unique gimmicks and tooling. Though there's a case for He-Ro getting one with his staff feature and Eldor getting one with his book. That has me leaning towards Blast Atrak or Multi-Bot and Modulok as the other two since you'd probably be looking at bad guys. Modulok and Multi-Bot have been teased in artwork and have a much bigger parts count than even Mantenna. (Honestly, Multi-Bot is 2.5 full figures and might need more than a deluxe.) We know Modulok's tooling is partly or completely done.
Duplico wasn’t part of the leak for wave 13 if I remember right. I think it was Slamurai, Randor, Snake Trooper, Snake Teela. Wonder who got bumped. I wouldn’t be sad if it were the Snake Trooper or Teela personally.
Snake Trooper is ALSO leaked as part of the 4 pack -- and I think Slamurai was as well? Maybe they learned their lesson from the RotS 3 pack about multiple releases of less well known characters.
Slamurai only leaked as a Core figure. The leaks from the 4-pack were two Snake Troopers, Snake Armor He-Man and an unknown Snakemen. I think Snake Trooper should still remain as a core release thanks to it's army builder status. The pack ones should feature something different from the core ones though, maybe other snake heads like Tung Lashor's.
this is pretty basic but i took Dave Clark's checklist and with each reveal I've been blocking things out. So this is pretty much what's left in the Vintage line
I would really like the "armour" sets, the Stilt Stalkers and Tower Tools etc. They'd really give your guys something to do.
Anyone have any insights as to when Wave 12 goes up for preorder? Or when Wave 11 hits retail? We're already seeing leaks from Wave 13. Wave 11 went in and out of stock at most online retailers and is selling for a king's ransom. The best I can find is a preorder for Bolt-Man at Amazon, wave 11 at Entertainment Earth (who ships USPS, which doesn't work for me as USPS won't deliver packages to my home), or listings for wave 11 and 12 from the UK that ship in June and charge $120 shipping.
Just got King Randor and Flying Fists He-Man. FF He-Man is fun. He's like a fidget spinner except not lame.
I'm eager to see what they do with the battery operated vehicles and sets. Tower Tools and the others all used swappable battery packs. Really eager to see if they can come up with something for Spydor.
Why won't USPS deliver to your home? They should deliver everywhere in the US. Screech is on the highly credible rumor list and will come with Skeletor, if said rumors are true.
All of the vehicles except the Landshark have simple repaints. The Skysled has the Warsled. The Wind Raider has the Storm Raider. The Roton has the Monogram Roton. Stridor has Nightstalker. My impression is that demand for vehicles is lousy and they can only get two out a year, considering they have molds for four, plus people who'd like an alternate Dupli-Cat. My guess is that they keep budgeting brand new vehicles in hopes of maximizing retail sales and if they ever go online only or get retailer interest in an exclusive then they'll go back and do the redecos. My hunch is that the other vehicles with easy redecos, the Attak Trak and the Talon Fighter, are priorities to get done. I could see Blasterhawk being a priority for Eternia, since it integrates into the playset, and Mantisaur, Swiftwind, Bionatops, Turbodactyl, and Tyrantisaurus being priorities since they each have a major character as their standard rider.
I don't think we'll see the color swaps of the Monogram kits released as Origins vehicles. but it does remind me that i need to track down a blue Attak Trak kit.
