After the big changes made with Snake Mountain I wonder what they could do to the Fright Zone to improve it further. A bridge to connect it to the Slime Pit just like @RodimusRex said would be a wonderful addition, but I doubt they would be sold together unless they wanted to have a playset for the Horde comparable to the likes of CG and SM. Slime Pit seems to be easily marketable as a standalone release, and they could even include a figure with it if they ever wanted (Horde Zombie He-Man seems like the best choice for it, as it's a cool variant and a easy repaint)
What can be done? Ultra details, an articulated beast instead of a puppet, make the base taller/thicker so the foot trap swallows more of the character, deepen the prison cell, make the grabbing tree articulated and able to hold multiple heroes. Then follow up the improvements to Snake Mountain and make the rear of the set a Horde Throne Room. All very simple, easily added updates and likely what we're going to see based on the three Origins playsets thus far.
This convo reminds me that I stuffed my original Fright Zone puppet with paper for display purposes when I was a kid. Anyone else here do the same?
Yes. When i bought a new vintage set two years ago every puppet I came across was deteriorated beyond repair. But I found a guy on Ebay who made cool replacement monsters
I have gone down a rabbit hole...I had these when I was a kid in 83-84 and found some pictures so I've gone in hard. Crazy thing is I just received a bunch of free Masterverse and I wasn't really collecting those anymore.
