Cool, I hope that list is true, would love a Slamurai (not to mention all the 1988 Snakemen). I guess, in terms of his build, I wonder what the plan was in 1988, just the He-man buck painted white? I like the idea behind the Snake Trooper, maybe instead of the Hordak/bat face on the emblem push button, they could tool a push button with the Snakemen logo. The Infiltration Guard makes me curious. Will we see the Filmation style armor that was teased on the Eternian Guard promotional pics? If indeed Mattel has a gateway into my wallet, this would be further proof.
Holy crap. So do my Stratos and Roboto. With all these 50% off clearance sales, I'm not convinced there will be a GameStop in November of 2023.
For anyone still wanting or needing a Castle Grayskull, Amazon has them on sale for $50.39! https://www.amazon.com/Masters-Universe-Grayskull-Storytelling-Collectors/dp/B08J4HMBDJ
Mattel's HQ is having their holiday tent sale and today's finds were... (I also saw someone with Mantenna and Pig Head)
I hope Mattel isn't seriously planning on doing a single carded Space Sumo for $30 PLUS shipping. The three pack with Space Sumo was already clearanced for less than that a lot of places and can still routinely be had for under $30 pre-tax shipped. All you need is a Redcard (doesn't have to be credit, can be debit, and you get a $40 off $40 coupon if you sign up during a recruitment promotion). That takes 5% off. And a baby/wedding/student registry (one each per account) gets you 15% off any purchase of any size and stacks with all other discounts. And lately there's been a $10 off $60 and other promos. But just do the 15% and the standard 5% during one of Target's regular sales of the RotS 3 pack for $35 and you get Sun Man, Pighead, AND Space Sumo for $28.26 pre-tax. And if you pay with a red card, you get free shipping even though it's under $35. The idea of a $30 Space Sumo is pointless. It'd still be mostly pointless at $18 unless you still have a WUNDAR10 code because you're going to need to spend $6 on shipping, which takes you up to $24 for Space Sumo shipped from Mattel vs. $28.26 for Space Sumo and 2 other figures shipped from Target -- and I guarantee you could sell those other two for more than $4.26 if you don't want them. And Target will ship faster and have easier returns if you have any issues.
I already have 2 regular Space Sumos and MC would be out of their minds trying to sell a single one for $30. They weren't even brave enough to give it it's own standard release so if they do this it would be dumb IMO. I'm hoping it's Keclar.
That's a sweet price for figures I have yet to see at B&M. All my stores just have the naked stratos wave. MOTU has largely become "on-line exclusive" for me.
Oh sure, Mattel, you get proper carded figures for your big sale thingy, but BBTS winds up with all the International Cards so we can't have our Pack-In Comics to read or the write-up on the back of the cards for the characters. Like I want to re-buy three whole waves just to get the cards and a mini-comic copy that I can actually read. UGH. If anybody buys dupes for custom parts I'd gladly take any minty card backs or American Mini-Comics off your hands for the 200X wave, the King Randor wave or the Snake-Men wave. If I wanted International Figures I'd just buy them at retail in Canada.
$$ was the same placeholder they used for Camo Khan and it looks like Space Sumo has a deluxe package. But for reasons I outlined, even $18 plus $6 shipping is a lousy deal. You can get the 3 pack shipped for around $4 more.
True, but with just Space Sumo there'll be a 10 page mini comic. Really the only reason to pick up the three pack in the "premium" paint job and the flat top Sun-Man, if you miss out on the "deluxe" MC Sun-Man.
You know I forgot about that, I haven’t looked at him in so long. I’ve had the fig packed up awhile ago since I moved. I’m sore on that too they never made the one bare arm He-Man. Also he showed up in the first minis sometimes with 1 bracer as well. I don’t think they’ve used the bare arms from WWE at all but I’ve stockpiled some for customs some day. I think Space Sumo is the mystery figure but it could be some other thing as well. He’ll probably be at the $17-18 price point. And it’s a trap for completists or carded collectors or just hardcore MOTU fans. Khan was probably the displaced other Power Con exclusive like the TV box set.
My local Ollie's does a blanket % off sale on toys, usually one before and then after the Xmas holiday. Sort of a defacto clearance sale on the toy inventory.
