I thought it was said to be Pig-Head. If this partnership works out, don't see any reason why we couldn't get everyone since the Sun-Man cast is as small as it is.
Yes. Mattel mentioned during one of the power con panels that Sun Man, Pighead, and Digitino would be joining the MOTU next year.
It helps that they all use Sun-Man's crotch and wrists and all except Pighead use his boots. The entire line is a headsculpt and accessory set per figure away from being tooled.
Found the Battlefield Warriors set today. They had quite a few! I do see some issues with this set, but I still like it. I didn't need another Battle Cat but I prefer the shinier armor on this one. Vac Metal battle armor for He-Man, had to have it. And the base is pretty cool, it can definitely be a nice display piece in the future. I almost broke He-Man trying to swap out his battle scar parts for normal ones...you can't take the arms out, and pulling too hard will break them like I nearly did. Overall a little pricey imo, but since the first MOTU toy I got as a kid was a He-Man/Battle Cat combo set, it was a must.
Good news! It comes in both orange and pink! PRE-ORDER: FAK - Cyborg Imposter Classics Leo Head, Armor, Trunks, Sword & Staff Set
Was able to snatch these figures today on BBTS Faker is currently in Processing with Rhinox for shipping.
It’s very cool that BBTS is re-opening up the preorders for Origins wave 6. I got my preorders in a while ago but I know it was previously listed as being sold out.
So I have done some heavy duty 24 hr soaks in 91% isopropyl alcohol on some of the MOTWWEU figs to try and customize them... to barely any avail. Only 80% of the chest emblems on both Roman Reigns and New Day were able to come off. It looks like whatever paint Mattel uses is extremely heavy duty. As this is my go-to for any Hasbro products. So maybe with some elbow grease, and an insane amount of luck, you too can get the paint off, kaaa-chow. Looks like I gotta get out the dreaded Acetone and hope it doesn't eat the plastic.
^ it'll eat the plastic. With that said wet sanding has proven effective for some. Yes it's still sanding but the finish is extremely smooth. Melted plastic or scatched plastic? Pick your poison.
ugh, I need to remove all the skin tone from New Day so I can dye the pink plastic. Sanding all of that would be insane, but I hate doing tons of paintwork.
Theres the Andre/Slaughter wave and then a final one of 3 figs then the WWE/MOTU deal is done. Mattel will still use the same Origins style but just make wrestlers.
i.e. Mattel will be making generic non WWE wrestlers or just WWE wrestlers (and not WWE MOTU hybrid characters)?
yes, acetone will fuck up plastic. tabletop wargaming has been tackling this issue for many decades now, and something that will fully dissolve acrylic paint without also dissolving the plastic it's stuck on is a bit of a holy grail. oh, and without requiring laboratory-grade protective equipment. you could always try to remove the piece in question and soak it in pine-based undiluted soap but that may be impractical for action figures due to the existence of paint you don't want to remove and internal cavities near joints that the soap would seep into. but if cleaning alcohol doesn't do the trick then I don't think anything milder will. too bad they don't make MOTUs out of metal, eh? then you could just dunk them wildly.
Classic WWE wrestlers without MOTU crossover parts, but using the same bucks. Which apparently was what was previously pitched ANYWAY, it was a hilarious mess what drama went down between WWE and Walmart.
Oh do tell if when / if you have the time ( no rush). That sounds ....appealing. I haven't collected 5.5'' scale figures since childhood but origins has changed that.
