It has taken you this long?
I know, right? I've been in this thread since wave 1 but it took me doing this photoshoot to realize how much I actually love this line.
Now Masterverse is the line I'm gonna be picky with and I'll be ordering these buy the wave (mostly, not sure I want redos like some of the other LOP guys)
Yeah, I do think the issue lies solely in the paint. Here's a quick photoshop mockup of what the head could look like with more vintage toy influence. It's not a straight copy of the vintage head. I took some liberties.
Well look at that I have retro play.
The poor man’s Orko stand in. Went and got me a Dollar Store Orko. Cut the base pole in half and extended it with a trimmed up Zaxby’s straw. Just need to find a clear straw that’s the same size as a Zaxby’s straw. If anyone has any superior straw knowledge then let me know.
This is a GREAT interpretation of the look I was talking about. Mattel needs to notice.....
So. How much was Grayskull supposed the be?
I think it was about $75-ish before tax.
Then it looks like I some how got a discount. Whoot!!!
Could be a way to get new characters into Motu.
The legend of Sun-Man Continues...
His magical melanin skin gave him unequalled, unlimited and special super strength. Sun-Man's skin could not be cut, burned, bruised, broken, pierced, stabbed, ripped or removed.
So Pig-Head the evil wart, was plotting to smoke-out Sun-Man. He wanted to see if he could weaken Sun-Man's powerful skin through the smoke from the drugs Pig-Head had just cooked up.
But Sun-Man flies free, protecting the right for the Galaxy-Trefixa to exist in peace. His rap is clear:
"Pig-Head listen, you're bad luck. You won't win, so just give up. Sun-Man is on the scene to stay. My good powers shall rule all the way!
The battle has just Begun...
This would have been a lot easier if I had BA He-man's extra hand...
I don't know anything about these toys in the photo but this circled guy is awesome, he reminds me of old school Gannon.
I saw the remnants of Wave 5 at two Targets today, by which I mean they both had Evil Lyn. Which is great for me because she was the only one I wanted from the wave after I got Mer-Man. I really do like the new color scheme a whole lot more than the first one, and the better-looking knees are a nice bonus.
For those seeing Wave 5 in Targets where abouts are you? West coast or East coast North America?
Midwest for me.
I'm in Maine and picked up Evil-Lyn from Wave 5 friday night. Mer-man was also there (I don't want it), and old versions of He-Man & Skeletor.
and the Sky Sled has been holding at 14.99 at all the Targets in my area, for three weeks now.
And that's part of the reason i have so many questions. I'm going to wait until actual news confirms this claim of his inclusion but if it's true that would not only be awesome but it makes one wonder if some of the other 80's toy I.P.s that were original, influenced by or knock offs of the MOTU action figures will show up or in the Origins lineup.
We all know there are a lot fans of the MOTU ko lines in the MOTU Fandom.
As of right now (6:42 am eastern daylight saving time) 07/17/2021, Castle Grayskull is available....
I already have my order in and it should arrive on Monday. I hope to receive my tracking number soon.
