I wish Mega Brands would follow suit and give us a generic palace guard troop builder.

That is an awesome way to make both a Vintage Man-At-Arms and an eternian soldier without peg clogging.

Just pre-ordered two palace guards to replace the so-so customs I made.

That is indeed a very nice exclusive. Surprisingly cheap, actually, because that's deluxe levels of stuff for a basic price.

Does anyone know what kind of paint to use on Origins figures?

Sweet! Preordered 2. This makes me want to get a troop builder for the Evil Warriors now, outside of the Hover Robots. Maybe these dudes?

I'd rather have those Frazetta-ish warriors than Filmation's goofy robots.

For mine, I've been using RiT DyeMore to dye the limbs and accessories, Apple Barrel or FolkArt acrylics for the torsos and details, and Tamiya TS-80 or Hobby Lobby matte spray for sealing them up.

So acrylic paint will cure properly? Cool I can fix my King Grayskull and start on my Wun-Darr.

Finally got my hands on a Rise of Evil set. I stopped into my nearby Target at 7:30 this morning and there was just one set sitting on the shelf. 20210607_124146.jpg

I hope at the very least that the cardboard robot figure from the Secrets of Grayskull set will a single/mass release.

Since they are trickling out the Lord of Power figures, surely there's a chance cardboard robot will be more accessible?

My fault I didn't pay too much attention to when the pre-orders went up like ~a week ago.

Do you guys think more sets will be available to order on-line in September around Power-Con?

Or am I out of luck?

That BBTS palace guard might be a model Mattel follows in the future for weirder one-off things. I could totally see that goofy suit of armor being a future release with some deco change down the road.

No more sets will be made available, however, I do think it's a near 100% certainty that each of the individual figures will be released as single carded variants.

It’s both real and a photoshop. They just photoshopped the guards armor on to Duncan.

They really should’ve have given some other heads though. Like the Classics versions.
