I replied to their email asking these basic things plus adding as much as I know from investigating the issue. Now to wait over a fortnight to get some response if any as I did it as a reply and not a new case.

I had a CC Teela arrive from Amazon yesterday and her crown was glued on lopsided which was driving me nuts. I tried the hot water method to soften the plastic first, but there was so much glue that it would cool off before I could make any real progress. I ended up using a hair dryer to heat the plastic, then slowly and carefully peel the crown from the head a little at a time. I had to keep re-heating, peeling a bit, using a plastic spudger and exacto knife, and reheating some more. I worked very slowly as to not damage any visible plastic on the hair or crown and the whole process took me over two hours to remove it safely. When it finally came off I scraped away the excess factory glue and had to heat the head and crown AGAIN before gluing it on straight since the crown got deformed while peeling it off.

Be warned - that factory glue WILL NOT soften with heat and using too much force will absolutely tear the softer plastic around the glue before the two parts separate. The whole process was a huge pain in the ass. If I knew how long it would take before I started, I would have just returned it to Amazon and got a replacement.

This. I've removed a lot of the helmets and hair from origins figures and I just get some water boiling and give my heads a good soak. (Note: do not put hard plastic parts in boiling water as it can shrink or warp the plastic, just do this on the soft plastic and rubber parts.) Then I use a small flathead screwdriver to use as a wedge and pry apart the 2 parts SLOWLY. Putting them back in the hot water when it starts stiffening back up.

For sure. Teela's crown was the harder plastic and it did suffer some warpage from the process of heating and prying it off the head. I was able to heat it one last time and hold it in place while the newly applied Gorilla glue set. The final result looks factory applied with no visible glue or damage, but I got lucky. I knew I only had one shot to glue it on correctly and it was nerve wracking.

Managed to get a $10 CC Teela from one of my Walmart stores. Still has the old POG set so they may not have known where to put them. Someone probably just slapped some clearance tags on them to get rid of'em. Missed on Trap-Jaw, but happy to just have the Teela for now.

I ended up getting a fairly inexpensive heat gun off Amazon. Between stiff joints and things like the misglued crown it’s just a nice thing to have around.

Local Walmart finally stocked ToG wave 2 but no krang : (

EDIT: second Walmart had Krang but no wave 2. They tried to pull a sneak attack on me.

No dice on either ToG wave 2 or Krang for me this week. Hoping to run into something next week...maybe I'll see Sla'ker in Target...

It's even showing as in stock for pickup here. I should be able to go pick him up whenever I roll out of bed tomorrow.

Thanks, man. I even got some toilet paper along with Sla'ker to clean up after all the excitement of seeing he was in stock.

Is Twobebopsteady the final Deluxe needed for Metalboto?

I wish they would have stated with Metalboto's torso... it's a lot easier to keep up with all the parts when you have something to snap them onto :D

I had zero intention of making Metalboto, but then realized Sla’ker was the only deluxe I didn’t plan on getting.. so screw it, I just ordered him. Twobopateady is the one I’m most looking forward to. I wish Walmart exclusives were as easy as Target ones to get.

Sweet! The piranhas around here must’ve gotten to them too fast.
