I hope so, and at that price I do feel that will be the case. I really want this dude, but that price is a hard pill for me to swallow, as someone who isn't totally invested in MOTU.

By the way, does anyone know how many come in a case?

Honestly...considering the wide variance with regard to what people say they want to see from MOTU i'd be thrilled with 24 to 75 page character spotlight comic issues (basically longer Origins pack in comics) with an arms length connection to He-Man and Greyskull at this point. It strikes me as too soon after the CGI series to ask for a new TV series or animated movie that has what i'm looking for. I have less than zero interest in Revelations...anything.

I wouldn't mind a MOTU anthology series. Just a bunch of stories that expand the mythos and go beyond Teela , Greyskull and He-man (at least early on. We need He-Man to tie it all together). Fans more resistant to change / new characters would receive spotlights on their favorite legacy characters ( ex. a Horde trooper or Moss Man) but writers would be forced to introduce new characters since the books focus is on a singular legacy character and not the entire MOTU legacy cast.

If not that then a MOTU version of Marvel / Disneys "What If ?" series would be a close 2nd preference.

You might want to check out Dark Horse's Masterverse mini then. It was an anthology of alternate takes on the masters framed with the Sorceress and Zodak debating the nature of power and who deserves it.

So no sign of Duplico in the Walmart sale this morning, aside from the overpriced $70 ones they have from a 3rd-party seller. Maybe tomorrow for him? Or not at all, haha?

No Moss Man either. Guess we'll have to check tomorrow.

So did Duplico go up for CC? It's back to a third party for $70.

    Edit: lol, refresh next time.

Looks like today was mostly Hasbro Products. Hopefully tomorrow will be Mattel products.

This is honestly hilarious to me at this point. I ordered 3 when they first went on sale. Later on they oversold and my order was canceled and they were marked sold out.

A week later I find them at Target for $16.49 plus some bit off with my red card. Thanks MC. You saved me some $$

Yes, Mattel Creations is not good when it comes to "In Stock" orders. I have not had issues with pre-orders but my one and only "In Stock" order experience was not the best. It took them almost 2 weeks to ship my order (MV Man-E-Faces and 2 Hot Wheels Lamborghinis). Once I got my order, it was missing one of the HW Lamborghinis. I called them and it took them over a week to send me an e-mail letting me know the replacement was shipped. But once I got my replacement, they gave me 2 instead of just the one I was missing. You have to be very patient with MC. Hasbro Pulse does SO much better.

Which is ironic because Target is usually reliable with in-stock orders but completely untrustworthy with pre-orders, haha. Their incompetence is complementary...

If he’s not up tomorrow it might be at their NYCC fall event. I had a guy I know reach out to me after he saw my name and IG posted on sites and YouTube for the find. He was told it was coming around September and then sees it found. His local store says they don’t have it but then associates found them on a pallet of new mod. It feels like the Jada Street Fighter fiasco again.

That’s crazy. I guess I never got anything from in stock before but you never know. I’m waiting to see what kind of shit show the Eternia early bird things gonna be like. I know a few wrestling guys who got screwed on their early bonus figure and never got a replacement.

‘Masters of the Universe’ Movie Dead at Netflix After at Least $30 Million in Development; Mattel Shopping for New Buyer (EXCLUSIVE)

The MOTU movie is apparently dead at Netflix and any future development is going to need to carry $60 million in expenses from development since 2008.

    That's the bad news.

The good news is that Mattel's CEO REALLY, REALLY believes in MOTU:

I honestly think that almost sounds a bit nuts.

But that almost certainly means he has our back in keeping the brand alive.

He really sees it as the future of Mattel.

Motu would really be better as a cartoon done by people that actually like the franchise.
Live action is never going to be right unless Adam is the actor and He-man is like cgi or something.

Man, rolling development costs are what tanked Superman Returns at the box office. It would have actually made enough money to profit but it was carrying debt from like 5 failed films.

    Anything is possible.

I mean, other than everyone who wants Duplico being able to get one tomorrow.
