New thread for the Origins Line.
Fucking Mattel. This company I swear to god. MOTU brand manager isn’t even at ToyFair with nothing to display. Just give the license to S7 or some company that actually gives a fuck about the property.
I was hoping to see Origins Teela or Evil Lyn, just to see if they kept the weird arm poses from the vintage line.
Could be worse though...could be Action Toys.
I'm more curious to see if they'll confirm to come with swappable heads and hands like the SDCC He-Man, or not like the WWE/MOTU ones (I'm leaning towards they won't)
If the leaked lists are true than only the store exclusive versions will.
They can't sell you the same figure six times if they give you everything you want with the first release.
Yeah, I’m really disappointed with the lack of effort put behind this line at ToyFare. Makes me concerned that it’s fairly doomed unless the new He-Man cartoons on Netflix help popularize MOTU.
I think the heads are off putting but im down to check them out. Not going out of my way to pick them up, if Mattel is going to pull a Multiverse.
Is it my failing eyes or, does He-Man not have a sword?
And to add insult to injury, they are competing with Hasbro and TF in Netflix.....lets see where does this kind of business practices take them.
Yeah, he does. All the con displays have shown the figures with weapons. However all the in package samples seem to be hiding the weapons in the package for some reason. Can you imagine the shit storm if Mattel cut the character's iconic weapons?
I just hope for you all collecting that Mattel does better with the character selection than Mega is getting to with the Construx.
Those old packs always have the weapons behind the figure in a bag. They are going for the Original packaging look.
It could be the comic artwork but it appears that the sword is visible beneath his right arm.
Where the blade is though, I don't know.
you don’t want to know.....
There's a bow legged Beastman out there somewhere.
Man where was Mattel, they didn’t want to capitalize on that sweet Netflix cast announcement?
Pixel dan posted a sky sled with prince Adam on insta a few days ago. He said they might have stuff to show on Monday. ???
Mattel is a parking ticket away from bankruptcy and run by idiots.
Unfortunately true... I almost hope they file bankruptcy and Hasbro buys them. I think Hasbro could revive MOTU better than Mattel's own attempts.
Big toy convention accompanied by major presentations and what does Mattel do with the opportunity to show people across the world that are curious? Absolutely nothing. Stupid decision.
Separate names with a comma.
