They probably knew it'd be a very poor seller if they tried it. I POd two of them for roughly $15 a piece thanks to a sale and that was good for me. If they tried charging $32 or more i'd have to be convinced to buy even one.
HAY HOMEY!!! It's good to see you in here! This is a good place to keep up on all things new! Good choices on the starting lineup. As much as I wanted this for different reasons... He's a bit doofy looking. Like maybe they SHOULD'VE made him a deluxe with a helmet head and a non helmet head or something?
So true about how you mention King Hiss. That was my bro's favorite figure. Last week we were at a Target and we came across a King Hiss on the pegs. Both of us were looking at it and while his sculpting was nice he tells me: "It just doesn't feel as cool as the original. Feels less like a human disguise and feels like a whole different figure entirely." And yeah I can't help but agree there! I really loved Snake Face (Man, I had a lot of the cool gimmick guys!) and I just know he's just gonna be a figure where you plug in scary snake parts on him instead of an action feature.
I'm really wanting a new Extendar but I know Origins would be a partsformer too. I figure MV would be a partsformer as well but I can forgive it there since MV is more about articulation, design, and shelf presence over gimmicks.
MAN!! Can't wait for Man-e-faces and the Sorceress! I don't care for the big muscley arms on her but ima try to get her in a very feminine floating/flying pose. But the metallic paints on Man-E-Faces have me reeling! *edit* Is it just me or does Man-E-Faces human face look like Mike Rowe from "Dirty Jobs" wearing a mask???
Kinda sucks as there's effectively nowhere else for Spero Toys to plug their Power Con exclusive 8" Beast Man tribute figure:
Spero should take it upon themselves to market the figure if Val can't get his shit together. I follow dozens of toy companies on all three of those platforms and frequently see news about releases and cons on each.
When I sold off my Origins figures, the one Origins item left I couldn't sell was the Wind Raider. So I decided to keep it and found out not only can MV Man At Arms fit in it, it actually looks pretty good with him flying it.
I know they were working on a site overhaul, but I think they said it was going to be finished a long time ago? I guess it is still a work in process? I’m curious what their end product will be? They had the message board going, but there was a bunch of reference stuff that has been disabled on the site for a while now, like checklists for the toys, and scans of old print material.
