that's a great price for beastman. got both my skeletor and heman on ebay for under 50 and was about to order a few more from bbts but they sold out. tricops, manatarms, beastman and trapjaw all sell for over 100 on ebay. whete can I get them for 50 each?
I don't have the "priority" marked, but still on the fence for characters like She-Ra and Fisto. It's just hard for me to justify $100+ for some of these figures. I just mean as close to $50 (that might mean $80 for Man-At-Arms/Trap Jaw if I can find a good deal). Most listing are MISB/MIB, but I just care about the figure and any iconic accessories. If anyone here can help, and avoid ebay fees in the process, I would greatly appreciate it!
If you want to freshen up your Classics collection this guy is incredible, one of these Alcala swords is just a free gift for ordering.
I know, I already ordered from him in the past. For example the Filmation head was color matched to my Keldor body. I also bought a Filmation sword in Skeletor colors from him (although that never happened in the cartoon). After I had my new Filmation Skeletor head, I sold off my original Skeletor, as I liked the Keldor body with the color matched Skeletor head much more. I want to order from him the Filmation He-Man head, but currently my money has to go elsewhere :/ I hope when I get around to it, that he can again color match it, so that it looks good on my DC Vs 2-Pack He-Man. Although I wish we had another variant of the Filmation He-Man head. The one expression I want would be the face He-Man makes when he punches the screen. I think 1 or 2 years ago I asked him if he will make the Filmation Hordak head available, but he said, that he did not even open up his version, which would probably be necessary before casting the head There's only one thing now I need to have my own complete Ultimate Skeletor. I need the sword from Lizardman.
I don't know if anybody has reported this, but my Mantenna with the extended eyes, his head's been in a bag in storage for a while, but the eyestalk has developed a crack in the bottom, possibly from being shoved in a bag with everything else, if I'm not careful it could shear clean off. Love the option of this head, but really, Super 7 should have used a more pliable plastic for the stalks so this wouldn't happen if placed in storage. If it breaks I'm shit out of luck for a replacement and will have to hope super glue works. Just a heads up for anybody with Mantenna Filmation.
There are several figures like that. Mattel or Super 7 or someone is just leaving piles of money on the table. Unless the molds are lost forever, not reissuing some high-demand figures is just asinine. I'd dearly love a Battle Armor Faker, but not for $200+. The Filmation versions may scratch that itch for some folks, but toon Fisto can't compete with Classics Fisto in my book.
Just to double check, is there any chance that Filmation Trap Jaw or Tri-Klops get redone by Super7 (like they did with Ultimate He-Man and Skeletor)? As I understand it, those were done by Mattel and have the old ankles / QC issues with Tri-Klops’ visor. BUT, I know that most Super7 MOTU stuff paused (other than the castle) due to the Origins line.
Super 7 no longer has the license. Snake Mountain is the last thing coming from them. They have hinted they may get the license back after things calm down around the new series.
Very much confirmed, go watch Pixel Dan's Interview with Brian Flynn at NYTF2020. They discuss it there.
I do expect Super 7 to get back to making stuff eventually. Mattel reigned it all in so they could do Origins and a new line for the new series it seems. I only got into the Classics stuff as they got the license, I have much to catch up on and was hoping we would get a new Battlecat through them. Now, who knows.
I hope Super 7 gets back to it. Mattel did do the Slamurai and Snake-Horde Trooper ‘Con set recently. I just think they want clear decks for Origins and Classics will return as exclusives later.
I would love Classics to come back as an amalgamation of Filmation, MYP and the Toys. So lots of details and the iconic parts of all of them mixed. Like they partially already did in the past.
