From all of the movies, which character did you think had the most potential to be one of the most interesting characters - but did not get much screen time at all? I'm thinking Jolt. His design was one of the coolest I have seen and I loved the electric hands.
Jolt and Arcee for sure. ROTF did not know how to handle its Autobots. DOTM made up for that in many respects, and while Dino was probably the most underused Autobot in that movie, he still "did things".
Jolt: He has three scenes, he's with The Autobots who are getting arrested by Galloway after Prime's Death, He can be briefly seen during the Egypt Battle fighting and to combine Jetfire and Optimus. The only other shots of him are when he's in his vehicle mode Arcee: Such a huge waste of the character, and making her three separate bodies that share the same mind, no thank you I call them Chromia, Elita-1 and Arcee
Ratchet. He's a medic, they could have featured him tending to humans and Autobots, or at least entering a battlefield to rescue casualties. Instead, the best he's done is repair Bumblebee and Optimus Prime and blow up his homeworld.
Ratchet, Mirage, and Soundwave. They were all major characters in G1. Ratchet should've been more like how he is in TFP. Also I think Shockwave because he is second in command of the Decepticons. He could've spoken more.
The Fallen. He was supossed to be the ultimate evil in this continuity, as he created the Decepticons and started the war (and therefore triggering all the events in the films) and in ROTF he is treated as a useless junk with very limited screen time.
Bearing in mind that it is hard to give every character their development and screen time! Ratchet; One of the first five Autobots on Earth, could have easily been one of the most recognized and cared about characters for going out into the battlefield tending to Autobots and humans. Jazz; A very cool character, could have been the same size as BB though Shockwave; Bust shit up with his arm cannon more....
Shockwave I think is the ultimate answer. He could have been the big bad in his own right....or played an actual part in the plot (like working with Sentinel Prime) and have real dialogue. *sigh*
Poor Ratchet. A loyal, kind, dependable Autobot who's a great shot, and told Galloway to his face he was a dumbass. And he's a background character in the films and looks to be the sacrificial lion of AOE. Kinda like T-Dog in The Walking Dead series; always in the background or always helping out, but ultimately gets little development. He was good buddies with Ironhide and Optimus, a sort of mentor figure to Bee, and he was badass enough to be able to fight the likes of Brawl, Megatron and Starscream, and Sentinel. Jolt is regrettable, but excused since he was a last minute addition to ROTF. I don't know why Arcee was in ROTF; Bay hated her, happily announced her quick death to the Internet and had her do practically nothing. Shockwave also got the shaft even if he was just a red herring for Sentinel. And Starscream had a meaty supporting role in ROTF, but I would've liked to have seen his treacherous ways show up in the films. I always like to think Sentinel got Starscream to shove Megatron off the roof in the DOTM film.
