Simple topic. Which TF Purchases did you (maybe immediately, maybe gradually) wind up kicking yourself for?

TRU-exclusive Blackout/Scorponok 2-pack: Wound up disliking them both, and in fact liked Scorponok better (which is to say, not enough to j

RotF Mixmaster: I love the colors, and the robot mode is... okay... but I have transformed him into vehicle mode once and barely used him in robot mode anyway.

Binaltech Battle Ravage. I love Ravage, and I like the design of the toy, I just HATED the die-cast on it. The hood pieces were constantly in danger of getting scratched so I just leave it in car mode and gave the gun to the Alternators Battle Ravage I bought to replace it.

    Anyone have their own stories?

*RotF Megatron - cybertronian modes are not my cup of tea.
*DotM Starscream - cool little mold but he's out of scale so I don't have anywhere to put him. plus the deco is blah.

Leader Sentinel Prime and DotM Shockwave would qualify but I was able to return them. SP was just unfun to mess with and SW, awesome robot but no love for the alt mode.

    ROTF Camshaft & ROTF Scalpel

These have to be the most degraded miserable molds I have ever seen/owned. That's right...owned!

Had them for about a month, they hit the garbage afterwards...sorry

Video reviews go a long way towards helping an informed purchase, you know.

My biggest regret is not a purchase, but rather one I did not make. One day earlier this year, I popped into my local TJ Maxx to find 3 MP Skywarps starring back at me. Mind you, this was before I really got back into collecting Transformers...was more into GI Joe at the time...but picked one up off the shelf nevertheless giving it a look, thinking all the while, "very nice figure", then inexplicably proceeded to put it down and walk away!?! Now, however many months later, I rue that day, at least to some degree, wishing I had purchased one. Because, let's face it, passing up an awesome figure like MP Skywarp for next to nothing is an epic fail. Oh well, it's all bueno now as I manufactured a trade w/ another member on this site for a MISB one so I've corrected my previous gaffe. Needless to say, I'm happy about that one. Lesson learned!

PCC constructicons and dinobots. I had high hopes based on the initial pics, and they where my first pcc purchase, but once I had them in hand ..... :puke2:  They where not very stable, and the blue ports did not plug in properly. Put them up on ebay a few days later, and never looked back on PCC.

Cybertronian modes aren't your cup of tea, yet you knowingly bought DOTM Shockwave even though he has a Cybertronian Alt. Mode?

I know right. Well, the robot mode was just so good I thought maybe I could get past it.

Like dating a girl because she has a good personality or pretty face but a meh figure. I just couldn't get past it, so a couple of days later I returned him like he was never opened. A MISB collector would know, but your usual buyer wouldn't have.

Anyway, this reinforced my thinking on cybertronian alt modes so it wasn't a total loss.

Grimstone is a very good figure, maybe you just got a janky one or something. But I will agree with you on the rest of the pcc 5 packs, picked a couple other ones up on clearance and I still think I paid too much.

HFTD tomahawk and terradive looked good in pictures too but I really didn't enjoy them once I had purchased. DOTM space case though I really liked...go figure.

If you recall ROTF Camshaft, came with the original Leader Prime in that 2 pack they had at Walmart.

ROTF Scalpel was a free figure I received....

But I hear ya man... I do it all the time..

Have to agree with igniz, PCC Dinobots are AWFUL. I ws so excited to get them as I loved the G1 Dinobots and throwing combiners intot he mix as well, what's not to love, right? Uh, how about everything about them. Build quality was shocking, the drones were appalingly scuplted and rarely worked and the combined form had such floppy joints that it was impossible to stand him up without leaning him against something. About 5 minutes after I had opened it up, I wanted to get rid of it.
