The post about Masterpiece QC issues had me thinking, what would you say is the all round best crafted Transformers toy? Take everything into account, how it looks, durability, quality, transformation, both modes etc.

Had MP Lambor had decent paint, he would be mine. As it stands though, I would currently go for MP-10 Convoy with Dark of the Moon voyager Megatron a close second. Everyone on here has a far more extensive knowledge of the toys than me though :)

MP Prime is perfection. I couldn't think of anything to improve on that figure. I have similar feelings towards FE Voyager Optimus. Excellent transformation and incredibly screen accurate in both modes. ROTF Leader Prime is ever so close.

Fuck, that's a lot of Optimus. Guess Hasbro just makes him best.

    MP-10 Prime.
Prime RiD Vehicon is pretty flawless, its only issues are qualm's with the character's on-screen design.
    Prime FE Bulkhead and Optimus
    HftD Terradive/DotM Space Case.

EDIT: ... scratch all of this, MP-08 Grimlock. Honestly, the figure is about as close to perfection as I've ever seen. MP Soundwave might upseat it, though.

Oooh, good thread idea. Of all the Transformers I've experienced, I'd probably have to go with Alternators smokescreen. Not a single errant paint app or QC issue, wonderful quality plastic, great engineering, everything fits together perfectly AND it still manages to be an authentic representation of a subaru (with opening doors and a kitted out cockpit) as well as a sturdy, poseable robot that embodies the G1 aesthetic.

    Edit: Also rubber tyres!

Alternity Convoy. Its a scale replica of a car, complete with interior details and seats, which turns into a robot that is both proportional and articulated. Just incredible.

    G1 Soundwave.
Sucker is almost 30 years old, and it still looks good in a collection...his cassettes and weapons are bad ass too.

Hmm, if we are talking about most "well made" Transformer toy, or best toy design, then here are a few of mine:

    MP-10 Optimus Prime
    MP-5 Megatron

    G1 Jetfire
    G1 Soundwave
    G1 Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen mold
    G1 Predaking
