Who in your opinion is the worst repaint released??? I was surfing for a silverbolt part today, and saw the purple repaint...and it got me to wonder, so my vote is Universe Silverbolt.
Silverbolt is pretty terrible. But I'm going to say - for both its sheer ugliness and the terrible character it unleashed upon the Transformers mythos - the worst repaint ever is definitely Sunstorm.
Nah. The toy came before the DW character. To me, the toy just represents MTME background seeker #2 and for that, I love it. I can ignore whatever bleh characterization came after the fact. I agree purple Silverbolt is waaay up there, if not #1. Energon Sixshot was pretty bad. I never liked the Armada Transmetal repaints. And did we really need a repaint of Wheelie?
Based on recent line, Movie Recon Barricade takes the cake. Followed closely by Offroad Ironhide. Whhhhhhy Hasbro, why screw these great molds with such ugly repaints...
Sam's Club RID Prime for laziness factor. Aside from never seeing a yellow fire truck in my life, it was the laziest repaint ever, aside from a few super mode details it was just a swap from red plastic to yellow, even the Autobot symbol on the sides weren't colored in, just the outline. It's counterpart Magnus looked better, but just as lazy with one plastic change. As far as just looking horrible... G2 Combaticons. Camo on a space shuttle? Yellow and purple camo, where was Onslaught trying to hide, an acid trip?
Universe Night Slash Cheetor's pretty low in my book. With that color scheme he looks like an angry mutated cherry pie.

I was six years old when I received G2 Onslaught for Christmas and thought the color scheme was very impressive. It was obvious that Hasbro designed the G2 color schemes to appeal to children.
I love the Universe Silverbolt, he looks great next to Universe Razorclaw. I also love the yellow RID Prime. And I love Recon Barricade. The new club Seacons look really bad. Off Road Ironhide is pointless, changing from black to dark blue isn't a big enough change IMO. Sunstorm looks like a creamsicle. I can't think of any others but I know there's more.
I actually love universe razorclaw, another one I really hate is the original black arachnia, that's a character that deserved her own mold. The unviserse line was really hit or miss....mostly miss for me
Universe Leatherhide. I can't help loving the nasty, unreleased Horrorcon bastard, but he was ridiculous. I've always been curious about Recon Barricade, especially in light of the Allspark Power line. It's almost as if he was considered as a precursor or member to be included with the Allspark repaints, the way that blue's plastered on him. If he had been held off for some months or rescheduled like Nightwatch Prime, maybe he would have turned out differently... and, you know, actually appear on shelves for more than a single week. Never seen one.
i agree 100% there is no logical explanation to this, it had to be them all on drugs. hands down. G2 combinor repaints are pure barf
