Yet again one of my debates W00T!

Which toyline do you love so far?

Till this day, I still say the Cybertron toyline is my most favorite so far, with Masterpiece going second, and the movie stuff going for third, Alternators. Cybertron has some of the BEST figures ever within any toyline, every toy is a killer; Takara gets definate kudos for the entire toyline.

Personally, my favorite TF toyline so far has been Classics. Overall just really awesome. It's nice to have a toyline withought a show restricting certain asspects of the toys themselves (aka full-line gimmicks). There's a good chance that the Animated line and the new Universe line will tie for first place when both of them are out.

I think I could successfully argue that Cybertron, Beast Wars Neo (well, maybe not cause they scrapped Unicron), and the Movie line are the best to date.

Classics ties with the movie stuff as far as quality goes. Prime, Megatron, Screamer, and Jetfire are some of my most favorites.

Alternators was my favorite for overall engineering and G1 aesthetic, but it kind of lacked variety. Classics is more playable and diverse, so it's my favorite for toying with

Cybertron, possibly. Those other two, you could never convince me, anyways.

Classics for me is #1. The new wave coming out this fall will put it over the top.

Classics and G1, for me. The movie line has had some pretty good toys in it, too.

I'd have to concur, Classics was good. I should have put THAT as second.

Cybertron is most deffinately not the best. Like the movie line, it has it's golden molds, but it also has it's fair share of shit molds and repaints.

Animated is my favourite and so far seems solid. Not a whole lot of repaint potential but plenty of characters to go around (not to mention even more will show up) and I have yet to see a single figure I don't like.

    Honourable mentions:

    BW
    BM

I would mention movie, but as much as I would love to just think of the great moulds that make up half of it and ignore all the rest of the moulds, I must think realistically.

No love for R.I.D? That was my favorite toyline by far (despite Beast Wars being my favorite show).

Second place would have to go to the Beast Wars toyline, once they started with the Transmetals it was great.

Alternators are my favorite TF toyline ever, closely followed by Masterpiece.

No favorite line. Every line has real winners, utter crap, and general mediocrity in varying amounts - and life's too short to try to quantify the averages and figure out which line has a higher fraction in its win/loss ratio.

Overall, I'm not sure if anything has topped my enthusiasm as a child for G1, but Animated's coming REEEEEAL close. I'd list Beast Wars as up there, as well as Classics.

As a line as a whole?

Energon/Superlink. Cheap and fun army builders, a non-intrusive but still somewhat fun gimmick for variety, the best Galvatron figure we've ever seen, and a nice range of well articulated and innovative figures that are just plain fun to toy with. It also remains the only line I was every really pleased with every purchase from the line; there just didn't seem to be a lemon in any figure that I got.

Classics is a close second, only lacking the number of new molds and diversity that Energon has. Plus, if I didn't have the Botcon set to complete the Seeker forces, I'd be ticked; as having the full lineup is pretty tough thanks to that, as well as being the first time I actually managed to have a full set of all 6 seekers!

BWNeo. Some great molds, including one of my favorite molds of all time, Big Convoy. It doesn't really have it's faults, but as a line as a whole I put it third. The only detriment is that even after seeing the show and the toys, I just wasn't grabbed by any "got to have them all" feeling. Instead, it was a highlight line to me.

RiD/Car Robots. Another line of great molds, including my favorite version of Maximus in Brave Maximus. Black Convoy and Devil Gigatron are also favorites of mine. This line was a bit more fun to get thanks to the Spychangers on the Autobot side, but the Predacon/Destronger line left me cold.
