Inspired by qwerty's threads, i was wondering-

Who do you think is the most effective Decepticon in TFA?

(sry for the misspelling, keyboard hates me)

 

Up until the last episode Shockwave. He slagged Magnus for crying out loud!

 

Swindle as he never ended up going to prison

 

I really want to know how he beat him too after seeing him lose to ratchet etc..

 

Lockdown still on the trail.

 

That depends; effective at doing what?

Being subservient? Lugnut.
Being utterly bats*** insane? Blitzwing.
Reminding me of Billy Mays? Swindle.
Being a cowboy? Lockdown.

The most effective at actually serving the Decepticon cause, though, that's a tough one. I'd say Sentinel Prime, because despite being an Autobot, technically, he did the most to impede any progress toward stopping the Decepticons, and regularly removed any sort of defense on the Autobots' part that might have stopped Megatron's ambitions. =P

Duh. Starscream.

He...

-Blew up Megatron
-Defeated all the Autobots
-Captured the AllSpark and blew up large parts of Detroit
-Rebuilt the all but destroyed Lugnut and Blitzwing
-Became immortal
-Shot Ultra Magnus in the face
-Escaped from an Elite Guard prison ship
-Built a clone army
-Momentarily defeated Megatron again, before Sumdac screwed up
-Gained total control over Omega Supreme (something which Megatron failed at)
-Managed to get himself a new body post-decapitation
-Gained control of two Omega Supreme Clones
-Indirectly killed Prowl
-Blew up Megatron again, crippling him enough to let Optimus beat him to a pulp.

And the last two were done... after he died.

Starscream is the most effective Decepticon.

 

Ummm Shockwave I mean he killed Magnus and Blurr.

 

Shockwave never killed Ultra Magnus.

 

FINALLY! Someone agrees with me!  

 

You know I thought it was going to be revealed that Sentinel was working with Megatron the whole time. I thought he was a trader for a minute when Magnus was down. He seemed to eager to step and move Magnus out

Team Char actually were the only one who weren't idiots and screwed up a mission. Why didn't Megs have the entire time

 

Yeah. Let's look at the other Decepticon's achievements...

Blitzwing
-Rebuilt Megatron

Lugnut
-Rescued Megatron
-Tried and failed to control the Omega Supreme clones

Megatron
-Did what with the AllSpark, exactly?
-Manipulated a pair of drunks
-Built a space bridge that sent him nowhere
-Took control of Omega Supreme. Usurped by Starscream
-Indirectly took control of three Omega Supremes. Usurped by Starscream
-Got pounded to scrap by an academy washout

Shockwave
-Duped a sociopathic ******
-Arbitrarily killed a minor character by crushing him, after being too inept to kill him outright.
-Ran away
-Surprised and beat up an old man
-Got beaten up by an old man
-Beat up a girl with brain damage

And these last two? Not even Decepticons
Swindle
-Got beaten by a bunch of humans.
-Rescued a bunch of Decepticons that ended up captured, bar one.

Lockdown
-Successfully beat most of the Autobots
-Gave Prowl some stuff
-Captured some Decepticons

 

Hmm, good points there. I change my opinion, Starscream is the best.

Hmm, Starscream being awesome reminds me of something.

Oh yeah, the one that actually fought a god.

 

Yeah, I was going to say Shockwave too, but those points about Starscream are really good. So, yeah, Starscream is the most effective.

 

This except for;

He didn't get control of the Lugnut Supremes.

He didn't indirectly kill Prowl. Prowl killed himself, and the AllSpark indirectly killed him. Starscream didn't do anything about that.

Do Jetfire and Jetstorm count as accomplishments? They would be useful in an infiltration of the Metroplex. xDDDD -shot-

Well, all joking aside about Sentinel, all these points toward Starscream make quite a bit of sense. He was considerably more devious and plotting than his G1 counterpart, that's for sure. And he had the guts to actually take on Megatron on more than one occasion (the fact that he usually got his ass kicked notwithstanding).
