Marvel killing off the entire toyline just so they didn't have to bother writing about anyone.
For me, the list goes like this:
i) 1986 animated movie deaths. So stunned when the Decepticon killed off Ironhide and Co. Things got bleaker when Optimus bought it.
ii) Dark Awakening. Optimus returning as a re-animated corpse and seeing the names of all the 'dead' Autobots.
The animated movie in a way ended the childhood innocence of m and my buddies back then.
I don't follow the IDW comics...but who was that and what happened to him?
That's Roadbuster. He had a complicated history with the spider, Tarantulas. The latter has a size changing ability. He got small, snuck into Roadbuster's head, and then.. well.. got big again.
Thanks dude...the body looked like Roadbuster but I'm really unsure if it was really him...what a way to go...arrghhh...
Megatron and Ratchet fused together like siamese twins in the Marvel comics.
Probably when the Fallen loses his face.
TFA Blurr's death was very unsettling for me. I don't know why that one specifically, there's just something about it that feels so... creepy? I dont know, man.
Oh yeah, I always felt that in the US Marvel comics Megatron was given the short end of the stick. Example, outwitted and trashed by Shockwave being one of them.
...thanks for reminding me...that was one of the most disturbing moments in the TF movies...
Yeah, I always thought Blur might escape but he didn't and to be fair, if he had...the Decepticon plot would have been uncovered and the story ended...the writers IMO didn't give the character any chance to escape. To top it off his death felt so brutal and yet...lame.
Watching TF:TM again on Bluray the other day and realizing that every single happy Lithonian child scampering about at the beginning died in a vat of acid.
Quintessons first appearance in season 3,I had missed movie so that was first time with them.
Dark atmosphere of the series, their way to rotate heads and the scenes were they allied with Galvatron in FFOD ,it was very scary for me,I even had a nightmare involving them;in those days I couldn't never follow s3 regularly so missing some details made things even more frightening...I saw them as monsters ,I didn't know they were Transformers creators.
Now instead I like look of Judges and even more their role and schemes...(exactly as whole season 3 that I've begun to appreciate it for some dark or creative plots only years later),I simply was too little for appreciate them at those times.
Ratchet ends up in horrific situations quite a lot, doesn't he?
The opening of the original movie scared me as a kid. It made me refuse to watch it again for years.
I think, given his history in most continuities he appears in, you could argue that Ratchet is simultaneously the coolest and also the most sympathetic Autobot in existence.
OH SHIT WE'RE GETTING TWO SEQUELS THAT'S THE NEW MOST DISTURBING MOMENT
That. The Girl Who Loved Powerglide was kind of creepy, as was the episode when Seaspray turned into a merman.
MTMTE, the Smelting Pool at Grindcore.
Last Stand of the Wreckers "I gave the order... Kill. All. Prisoners."
BW Tarantulas in general, but especially during the episode where he captures Cheetor and plans to eat him alive.
"Ooh, my filters will adjust. It's the act I enjoy more than the nourishment."
Last stand of the wreckers the torture of Topspin.
Wasn't it Twin Twist?
