Oh my God! They killed Steve! You bastards!
Jazz from bayverse because well here's 13 year old me super excited about the movie knowing nothing about transformers before now. And the autobot character I choose as my favorite is the first to go...
Also since it was the bayverse characters I grew up with seeing Ironhide disintegrate before my eyes even though I read the novel beforehand and knew it was coming still about had me in tears and left me shocked for the rest of the movie.
And Ratchet as well. I really was not expecting him to go. That whole scene just...and right at the beginning too...I think I actually did cry for that one.
Well Prowl's death in the G1 1986 movie was a bit brutal
Sunder's face is pretty disturbing.
And Pipes's death in MTMTE.
That still looks like blood splatter to me.
There's also this.
Really? Almost 70 posts in (teeheehee, I have post #69) and nobodys thought of the 'Socialist Democratic Federated Republic of Carbombya'?
To quote TFWiki...
So yeah, this kind of writing in a childrens 80's cartoon isn't just disturbing, it's downright shocking.
The first revolution book, where blitzwing is in picece saying "let me die"
I felt that when g1 unicron first transformed, I was scared shitless, still it bugs me today. I think when overlord broke loose from chromedome in mtmte, and spreaded a christmas death all over the ship, it was a eye widener.
Me reading about Kiss Players. Also reading about "Carbombya", but for different reasons. Meltdown in TFA was pretty horrifying, same thing goes for those mutants he creates. Honestly, I don't find that much in Transformers fiction disturbing, but that's either from me being desensitized due to watching End Of Evangelion, or not having read any IDW stuff.
When Prime and Elita-1, well, you know...
I was 9 years old when that episode first aired and even at that age I caught and understood the insinuation and nuance. And yeah, even at 9 years old I thought it was ballsy...
Well, the 80's were a different time. Keep in mind that this was season 3 and first aired in the fall of 1986. In April 1986 Gaddafi kept starting a bunch of shit and once Reagan bombed the shit out of Libya Gaddafi shut up. Seriously. He never really caused another scene with other countries after that, militarily speaking...
When Starscream "repaired" Dr. Archeville.

Seeing this orbiting your planet would be frightening.
Most of the more sinister supernatural stuff disturbs me, like:
Tarantulas getting possessed and then blown to smithereens, Raiders-style.
Megatron consuming the sparks at the end of Beast Machines (and, by extension, when he randomly gobbles one partway through season 2).
Unicron was honestly pretty scary to me as a kid, a evil planet that devours other planets. Honestly when you're a kid, nothing is scarier than that.
It's from Regeneration One.
Quoting TFWiki: "...as the Dark Matrix creature tortured Spike Witwicky in Zero Space, it manifested as Sparkplug in order to fuel Spike's guilt over abandoning his family (and most of the population of Earth) to their fates."
Which results into Sparkplug's face melting off like the Indiana Jones dudes.
How about we delve straight into the depths of the uncanny valley.
His execution scene was also pretty gruesome.
