On a completely different note, Transformers sans helmets:

Particularly when the helmet is "meant" to pop off but the underlying head looks incredibly vulnerable. It's totally fine just having your brains exposed!

I could go on about the DJD putting Blip's brain in his mouth, or Pharma removing Ratchet's head but keeping his spark connected to keep him alive, or what happened to Dominus Ambus, or Megatron and Ratchet's little horrifying fusion, but I think the part that stands out for me the most is when the Decepticons killed that little puppy in episode 5 of Super God-Masterforce. You remember that shit? That was messed up. XD

And while it's not a disturbing moment honestly, I cannot resist bringing this up, it's so WTF, at least it's the translation team's fault, maybe?

Here's a new and REALLY scary one - Hasbro credited some of their growth this quarter to Machinima. That means that despite how god-awful CW was, it was profitable.

We really ARE getting a sequel aren't we? :(

The beginning of Transformers The Movie where the planet gets eaten by Unicorn, I thought at first that was Cybertron.

The fact that the Transformers are so technologically advanced but they haven't found a way to stop fighting (for long)! It's like some kind of soap opera! ;-)

Web World is evocative of a lot of the treatments and procedures of mental wards from the 70's to the early 90's (Galvatron's near lobotimization, for example) I think that mental wards give a lot of people bad vibes to begin with.

Someone please, please tell me this isn't an official comic. I dunno what's more disturbing, the castration symbolism, or the fetish vibes. This made me uncomfortable.

Cylas was pretty grisly. Especially his getting tortured back in Thirst.

The DJD slaughtering the alternate crew was upsetting. Getaway and his methods are utterly repulsive to me no matter how good a point he has. Poor Pipes' death. Oh and of course freaking solving the mystery of Dominus Ambus. And also the roboids and the reveal of what they really are was as stomach churning as watching cannibals eat a man's leg and laugh in his face on Walking Dead.

I haven't watched Ratchet's death in AOE since the premiere. Too upsetting.

And of course the deaths of the shuttle crew.

Yeah, pretty much all of those were bad. The only reason that I don't have any emotion attached to the shuttle scene is that I only watched the G1 movie around the Beast Machines era, and my thoughts were more "okay, this is dumb, I'm going to pretend I never saw it."

To get back on topic, I would like to add DotM Laserbeak to the pile of disturbing scenes and characters. He was creepy as hell when he asked that kid "Is your daddy home?"

And let me guess, it was a manga from Japan. Not too surprising considering Japan also spawned the series that shall not be named for the sake of the forum rules. Anyways back on topic.
Oh that thing, I remembered discovering about it through TFwiki. First I read the description and thought "The Dinobots become a combiner. That's so cool, I got to check this out." Then I clicked on the link and immediately my eyes widened to the point I could only utter "Oh..." I don't find it disturbing per se, but holy crap that design is freaky looking, dare I say probably even more freaky than some of the imagery in Season 3 of the G1 cartoon.

Well I'm gonna limit it to points in TF fiction where I've actually been shocked or surprised. There are other moments that I can recognize as disturbing and appreciate in that way for their dramatic effect but didn't actually trigger my "oh shit" reflex.

    In no particular order.

Megatron's genocide of the Transformers at multiple points in Beast Machines actually took me by surprise in how it was executed and portrayed, even though I was aware of it going into the series. But his "feast" in "The Seige" definitely took the cake on moments like that for me in BM. A close second would be just how tortured and painfully posed the Maximal corpses were during the "Endgame" finale.

The final exchange between Depth Charge and Rampage before they both explode in Beast Wars. The dialogue, context, animation, and voice acting all came together very nicely in that one bit to make me actually feel shocked by its violent gravitas.

When Steeljaw just started brutalizing that Sharkticon in "Portals" to prove his worth to Glowstrike and Saberhorn, to a degree that made the two island commanders both display visible horror, took me by surprise for what it was considering how care-free RID15 usually is.

Optimus Prime's "he's going to die" speech in Age of Extinction was, in my opinion, a well written component of OP's super-solid arc in the film, but god damn was it unexpectedly grim.

Also, "You beyrayed yourself". Really powerful, but again, grim character moment for TFCU Optimus.

That's all I got for now.

Quite a few actually. Shows CN's shortsightedness that they've shot themselves in the foot regarding dvds or blue-ray collections.

This moment was pretty disturbing when I first saw it.

It gets worse later on, until we know Blurr gets better after this.

    When did that happen?
