Like a lot of people from my generation, the 1986 movie deaths like Prowl, ironhide, ratchet, brawn, star scream and especially Optimus prime. The dark awakening episode was like rubbing salt on an open wound for me as a kid.

there are certainly a few, but i wont list them. recently however, i did find sentinals hate speech in the last MTMTE kinda disturbing...

"Our world's become a cesspool. Autobots and Decepticons fraternizing. A terrorist in charge of the capital. And the streets...! The streets are swarming with mongrel Cybertronians—colonists, cog-snatchers, half-breeds... Conjunx Endurae swap fuel in public. Monoformers parade their deformity. The planet reeks of concession. It's time to wipe the slate clean. Tear down, so that we might rebuild."

i know its driving home the point that sentinal is an arrogant A-hole, but still, a member of a highly advances society being so close minded and hateful. i just dont know, for some reason it struck a nerve with me when i read it.

This. Prowl in particular.. they just kinda hovered over the life fading out of him in his eyes before it bellowed from his mouth. I always found it disturbing.

The entire episode of Web World. I don't know why though I just get uncomfortable when I watch that episode. I get a few laughs, true, but for the most part I'm just stuck watching the screen with my eyes wide and my fingers forming death-grips on the armrests of my chair.

Same here. A lot of S3 was strange but this cranked it up to 11.

The supposed deaths of Skullgrin, Triggerhappy, Dreadwind, Darkwing and Galvatron in IDW.
For someone of my generation seeing these long beloved characters dissapear from the fiction is truly traumatizing.
Nothing even comes close to this in how disturbing it has been.
I truly hope Hasbro and IDW realise their mistake in killing these iconic characters so many of us could identify with and bring them back to the fiction.

John Turturro's arse shot in Revenge of the Fallen is obviously the correct answer.

I don't know if disturbed is the right word but Transmutate's death in Beast Wars certainly moved me, and the line 'I ... am ... hurt' delivered by it's decapitated head is a tear jerker, it was certainly a thought provoking episode and the good guys had some shade cast on them. That episode came straight after Dinobot's death, so two emotional gut punches in a row.

Blaster being grabbed by a pair of hands coming from a signboard was pretty disturbing.

And in a very different way, Pipes death.

As mentioned by a few posters previously, pretty much all the deaths from the 86 movie, especially Prime and Prowls!

    In regards of other continuities:

Marvel Comic: I was always heavily affected by the Dinobots being in stasis and getting brutally murdered time and time again. The woman cyborg thing that shoots Sludge in the face with her eyebeams was particularly disturbing for a kid of my age. Starscream blowing Grimlock away with Megatron (who had been cut in half by Grimlock, vertically) always left me with shudders. I should also mention that first time I read this I was too young to understand this was a dream sequence. Target 2006 and Jazz being at the mercy of Galvatron left me cold as to what on earth he would have to endure.

    Live action Movies:
Pretty much every death that involves faces being blown off and ripped apart. For some reason because they are TF that I've grown up with this makes it worse. I've often said that I'm not sure Michael Bay and Co remember that these are sentient machines, aliens in fact that are as much alive (in said universes) as we are. If these deaths were on humans all the movies would been 18/R rated.

    IDW:
The state of Fort Max (quadrapolegic) after Overlord messed him up. Also Twin Twist in the dentists chair from LSOTW.
The demise of Ambulon on MTMTE was pretty horrific too!

The fact that everyone at Machinima thought that Combiner Wars was a finished, competent show.
