They seem to vary but in general, they have excellent paint/finish, sculpt, articulation and overall execution. They make some of my favorite figures although those do not transform. Their Ride Armors are overall excellent but they can be a bit fiddly with early versions having some parts that were too loose but that design is pretty difficult to expect much better. In comparison to all the other high end toys I have, I'd consider Sentinel a top tier company in terms of just about everything including quality.
I'm tempted by the Sentinel Ride Armors but I really don't like the cloth bits. I'm going to wait for the B2five sets instead. I wonder if we'll see an announcement at Toy Fair regarding those. Toynami has a relationship with B2five and the RT license.
Sure he does, but yesterday night i was really tired and didn't want to go trough the hassle of the transformation (i played with some vintage microman stuff instead ). Next time ...
If you mean the vintage gakken, i'd say they're more or less on the same level in the "Imma gonna smash you into the wall" scale. But one of them is a 30+ years old vintage toy. And the sentinel feels more fragile and has pieces falling off all the time if you barely touch it. ...let's hope the legioss is less fiddly and more robust and playable ...
I would love a Mospeada bike that was as close as possible to the line are and didn't transform but included pieces to armor up the rider. This would allow the rider to look more show accurate in armor form as well. I'm rewatching Mospeada now and there's no way that cycle could transform like that. It's pure anime magic.
PERSONAL NOSTALGIA TRIP INBOUND, in JUNE my second ever Mecha model was the original IMAI MOSPEADA RIDE ARMOR 1/15 VR-052F, somewhere back around 1993/1994; somewhere around 2002-ish, my aunt bought me the GO-BOTS "CY-KILL" U.S. Reboxing of the IMAI 1/12 VARIABLE VR-041H "BLOWSPERIOR" given the opportunity to revisit them both, in the form of this AOSHIMA reissue of the 1/12 VR-052F/T, i just totally HAD to preorder one;
Yes, Indeed. Old-School all the way; even so, powerfully nostalgic, and relatively easy on the wallet, to boot; Variable Mospeada Stig & Ray (Plastic model) - HobbySearch Gundam Kit/etc. Store
...it's been a very long time indeed since i last had the time, space, and pleasure to assemble a model kit, so i'd completely forgotten that they used to call out paint colors on the instructions!..
