Thanks. Yea, i dont think i would transform the ride armor too much, as i kinda like it as is, and would transform the Legioss more. The size of either should be fine i would imagine, as i will be placing it with other small bots such as Riobot Iron Giant, my MasterMade SD Omega Supreme, some Bandai HMR 1/100 valks, and some figma figures.
Are you going for Houquet's ride armor or anybody's ride armor in particular? Thanks to finding out there are stress marks on the ride armors, I'm seriously thinking of dumping my Yellow one I recently bought since I spotted one. It didn't bug me at first and I am now afraid of transforming it.
I just want Houquet really. These are super expensive toys, and i was debating between the ride armor and the Legioss.
If they fix that common stress mark on the red ride armor I’d go for it over the Legioss. Only basing that on price (less than the legioss) and potential displayability. The only other thing I’ve got in 1/48 scale is a DX VF-1, but I’ve got several other figures around the 1/12 scale and could put her right there alongside them. my fingers are crossed for a confirmed fix when it releases. if not, well, we can always see if KitzConcept ever gets to that part of Robotech.
Ah, yeah I hear you then. I would think you would lean more towards the Legioss then given you are putting it with the HMRs?
Such a tough call. Just comparing the two, I think the Legioss is the better toy overall but there’s a lot to like about both. I don’t limit myself to one offs but if I had to, it would really bug me to have the Legioss and not a Tread if/when they ever make those but I’d be ok with the ride armor by itself.
The Ride Armor is pretty much a 1/12 figure with a transformable bike that the rider can wear . . Fig next to Bike Fig on Bike Fig holding bike in storage mode Fig x Bike combine mode . stand-alone Fig stand alone Bike Above is pretty much your display options by itself . BUT ,,,, if you have other 1/12 figures and 1/12 accessories then you can really mix and match and have much more funny display options. You are on a bike , obviously you will pick someone up , or run some over , snatch , grab and run . Even get your bike tow, stolen and ticketed . . And with tons of 1/12 accessories you can get a table just so you can flip it . , or a couch and sit like Tony . Lots of guns , swords , etc . So if you have other 1/12 figures( Figma , SH FiguArt , Etc ). Then you can have much more fun with it. It’s too bad that joint is so easily crack . Hope they will make it stronger on Houquet . It’s also around $40 cheaper than the Legioss . If you plan to display it with all your other Mecha/ robots then the Legioss would probably fit in better . And it’s not just someone wearing armor . It’s the best Legioss there is. A plane , a walking plane, a robot . a plane , a walking plane , a robot . Do you get it now . This is not 3 separate items . It’s all in one. We will call it “i” robot. Wait that lets mix the “R” and the “I” , Yes , it’s a RIobot ... This is the Best Legioss out right now , it blows everything out of water . . So my advice is buy the Zeta that is out now . Then when Houquet get announced, you can then decide again if you want to sell the Zeta for up coming Houquet...... or maybe you will want both then.
Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed reading it. For me, really, both Mecha / Fig would work for me personally, even if i change setup. Hope the image below isnt gonna shock you, as it is "slightly" out of scale mechas / figures together on one shelf, lol
Hmm, looking at that display maybe the Ride Armor would be better suited to fit the collection? A hybrid of mech and human to go with both. Edit: Neat display and collection!
I've been fiddling with the Zeta release for a week now. Things I noticed: +Overall, joints are stiffer than Stiq's. +The wings on both sides this time detent into place and stay there. + So far nothing really popping off. Even the intake covers are holding on. +No tampo errors. My Stiq has a misaligned tampo on his left shin I never noticed until a week ago. +Shoulders are tight but much easier to move. +Both shoulder armor stay erect +The foot ankle joint that detents into place for soldier mode actually works this time. -The left-wing was too damn tight and the little lip had to be slightly sanded down to function well. -The new gun attachments are rad, but a little too heavy for the right elbow to handle in some poses. -Neck ball joint is also a little too tight.
Wow those are tiny photos. Hopefully we’ll get some larger ones with better resolution soon. Thanks for the link @MasterScale ! I like what I see so far. Naturally the proportions are a bit odd due to the tiny size, but as long as they are more robust than the CM’s Ride Armors I’ll be happy. The B2Five figures I’ve handled are pretty good quality so hopefully these will be comparable. I’ll repost the photos here:
Can the gun with all attachments on store between the arms in Armo Fighter mode or can it only attach to the wings that way?
Their Votoms line is ongoing so they’ll probably make more Mospeada after this first wave. I’m just hoping they have the ambition and desire to make a Legioss. A 1/28 Legioss with articulated pilots would be AMAZING. And expensive, but I’ll throw down like I always do for Mospeada. Luckily the Legioss is a relatively small mech so I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility. Not likely, but not impossible. Probably cost double or triple what their Scopedogs cost.
Ah ok, that is cool what they are doing. I went to read more about them and will hope that these do come out since they fit my desire to have the ride armors and save space.
Imagine a B2.5 figure that can wear Ride Armor while IN the Legioss! That would be awesome and increase playability
