Yeah it was easy to put back together. Just glued the arm guantlets back into place and had to 'thicken' the joints as they were originally loose and easily came off.
Yeah my head comes of pretty easy but only on first edition Stick. I would avoid 1st editor Stick other than than I’ve had no issues.
I wouldn't worry as the issues were more with the first releases. The later releases are much more better.
Is $300 too much for a MISB first release Stick ride armor? It seems like too much but it’s less than typical eBay and YJP prices.
Seems steep but I guess it's now come down to scalping and price gouging collectors... considering it's impossible to find him at retail now.
Yeah. I don't especially like the idea of being gouged by a fellow collector but it’s at least less than eBay and someone I more or less trust. I also know that me overspending on one will all but ensure another reissue.
Hard to say as the secondary market ones don’t specify, and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious marking on the box that indicates whether it’s first or second release. I don’t think the issues on the first release will bother me, but if I’m going to spend 300+ I’d prefer the reissue. I can’t stress over the dilemma though, it’s totally my fault for passing on it when it was available...both times.
The Sentinel Legioss is a thing of beauty. I wouldn't mind a green one to match the Ride Armor I have. I went by the comic store today and found these in the $1 section. I feel they're relevant.
Okay @Rewind Here’s what I got for you 1st Release on the left and 2nd release on the right. Identical boxes except V2 seems to have a stickered UPC over the original UPC. The only thing I can tell you is I KNOW the one on the left is V1. I bought the one on the right as V2 but I have no way to know for sure. I could have been cheated but I believe that’s a Sentinel UPC sticker and not a store one... That’s what I got.
Heads up, Sentinel customer service is great! I emailed them yesterday letting them know my Legioss pilot’s arm broke off and within hours they said they were sending a replacement. I had to provide them with a copy of my invoice, a photo of the break and photo of the Legioss box. Nice to know they stand behind their product.
Glad to see they had a change of heart. I remember when Sentinel would give the old: "you're not in Japan therefore we can't send you any replacement parts" slogan.
I suppose they could still tell me that. I sent my inquiry which stated I was in the US, then they replied asking for the invoice and photos, then I replied with my photos and invoice that shows I’m in the US, then they replied asking for my mailing address so they can send the replacement. I haven’t heard from them since so hopefully they won’t come back playing a sad trombone.
i have that very issue. one of my earliest ROBOTECH acquisitions back in the mid/late-90's, stumbled upon it at a now-long-gone local comic shop. indeed, those were especially frustrating and desperate days for a freshly minted MACROSS/ROBOTECH fanboy with sizable would-be ambitions...
@Rewind I forgot I had the reissue of Rei. It also has a sticker over the UPC. Note that the sticker does state "resale" in brackets according to Google translate. So it seems like Sentinel was perhaps saving costs by just having labels applied on the boxes. Rather than redesign the box to differentiate.
