I was able to fix mine because of this. Thanks!
By any chance, does yours stay in place after repeated transforming? Mine tends to go out of place again on just one leg and this is what I've ended up doing instead:
For anybody that encounters the issue, I would try doing this first and see if it works before attempting to open the thigh.
@NeoMatter @OCProwl @backhawkdown @Slave IV, any of you had any luck yet? I keep missing AJ's live chat window, and finally just emailed them, waiting a response.
Nope. Still in PO limbo.
Not yet, but my delivery has always said July 3rd to July 6 so hopefully I’m still on track for that.
Now if only those fancy new Legioss figures had bag guys...
Yeah, I’m not even going to begin to worry about it until after the 6th.
I finally got the shoulders to move. My suggestion is to move it back and forth gently by small increments until it loosens up.
Awww shiet. Legioss has dropped down in my town. COME TO ME!
I applaud both your patience and optimism. Hahaha.
I'm hoping that's still the case as well!
It's in Cantonese though.
Popped for DHL.... excitement is high. I will be too.
The time has come and so have I. Okay the first thing I did was gently place the pilot inside and then I ripped off that stupid missile pod! Man getting out the rear landing gear is scary. You have to slowly rotate the landing gear and hinge it out towards you. They really should have made the gunmetal grey part of the landing gear metal!
Can you put some nail polish on the tiny figure's joints so he won't fall apart?
I tried one coat of clear nail polish on the arm joint that didn’t break off on mine and it actually made the problem worse. Now the arm doesn’t want to stay on at all, which tells me the coating was too thick. I’d try floor polish next but I’m not going to bother since I plan to just drive a pin through it. That also may be tricky since I noticed the torso isn’t one piece, but two pieces sort of puzzle-pieced together. It’s such a trash figure I’m tempted to just glue the whole thing in a sitting position and be done with it.
Speaking of arm joints, I popped my Legioss in the freezer for a half hour and then tried rotating the shoulders. They were still very stiff but they actually moved! I kept carefully, slowly rotating them and after about ten rotations each the joints move quite smoothly now.
Alright, QC ISSUES, ASSEMBLE!
Mine had the same issue that @Flapjacks and @mcnabb50 had with one of the inner hip joints being installed backwards:
Prying open the thigh cover didn't work on mine, but this did:
The joint seems to move around a bit more freely when the legs are in fighter mode position. Which makes it easier to fix (but possibly is why it comes out of alignment in the first place)
Another issue that you can see in the picture above are the intake covers. The bar in the middle was painted black on one cover, but not on the other. I believe that might be fixable with some light sanding, but as of right now,the covers have gone into the box.
Ankles on mine are too loose to support the figure's weight. You can collapse the leg down on them, which helps in certain poses, but it's definitely gonna need some Future.
I mean really with the lack of hardware and over-reliance on friction/gravity to hold its shape in solider mode, the whole figure is going to end up in an arranged marriage with Future at some point.
Shoulder joints on mine are ok. They could get pretty much straight forward out of the box.
Well, who’s next in line to make a Legioss? B2five seems a good bet, assuming they still have the Mospeada license. Theirs would very likely be made with joyful handling in mind.
I'd like to see their take on it
Alright long thoughts post is here with pictures.
My take on Sentinel's Legioss: Overall, this a really good looking and almost a great legioss. Sentinel needs to fine-tune some things here and there. As it is it's a good to very good legioss that some has issues. It's not a disaster like ETs or toynamis and it is well above the CMs.
-It's goddamn gorgeous. The sculpt is pretty much everything I ever wanted.
-Lots of locking mechanisms for fighter mode. Pretty solid once you get everything tabbed in.
-Plenty of tampo printing even more than the CMs
-Articulation is great but the tolerances need to be adjusted!
-The nosecone does soft-lock into the back, but can get knocked when posing.
-Shoulders are too tight, but they get more usable once you move it back and forth a bit.
- There is a tab in the palm of the hand and it kind of works. He holds the gun for the most part, but the hole needed to be deeper in the gun.
-The pilot figure feels fragile, but mine has stayed in one piece (thank jebus)
-Why oh why Sentinel did you not make the WHOLE landing gear assembly metal.
-Ankles aren't super loose on mine, but they should be tighter. I'll bust out the matte varnish on these ball joints.
-Pilot figure feels gummy.
-The wings should have been pinned! Hopefully they do this on future releases.
For anyone with the mis-matched hips, try to hold the legs and try to rotate it using the whole leg if that makes sense. My left hip was off-center then it rolled all the way back and while it was a pain in the ass to get it back I got it back.
