If you haven't seen the Mortal Kombat Rebith short film, it's awesome, if this gets made into an actual film... wow!!! But it got me thinking about crossing over Mortal Kombat characters into the Transformers world, so I came up with a list of kitbash/repaint ideas based on character appearances in Mortal Kombat Armageddon and was able to throw together a couple digibashes. Let me know what you think. Earthrealm Autobots Raiden - RotF Terradive Sub-Zero - Generations Autobot Drift Jax - RotF Brawn Cyrax - RotF Axor Ermac - Generations Autobot Drift Nightwolf - Cybertron Snarl Stryker - TF Wreckage Netherealm Decepticons Reptile - Universe 2.0 Dinobot Baraka - RotF Sideswipe Smoke - RotF Lockdown Kintaro - Cybertron Leobreaker Saibot - Generations Drift Chameleon - Generations Drift Rain - Generations Drift Sektor - RotF Axor Onaga - Robots in Diguise Megatron Get Over Here... Scorpion - Generations Drift For Sub-Zero, Ermac, Saibot, and Scorpion, they would all by mainly black with accents in their signature colors, Saibot on the other hand would just be various tones of dark neutral colors, I just haven't figured out Photoshop enough to change the colors around other than hues and shades. Chameleon would remain white but have green accents and I think it would be cool if his robotic limbs where re-cast in clear plastic to give the transparent look. But here's a few digibashes to give an idea of how I'm picturing them. Compliments/suggestions always welcome.
Quick, quick, forward this to TFCC. It could be next years Botcon set Something different for a change and interesting repaints and characters.
LOL, Thanks man... I like to try and do something different that's not really been done before. No disrespect to any kitbashers or anything but 100 repaints of the same characters gets a little redundant after a while... I just wanna try and bring a few new ideas into the mix...
I actually plan on trying to repaint all of these as I'm able to get the figures, and if I'm able to I have a few ideas I'd like to try and do to make them a little more interesting.
I like your creation. very nice and but can you tell me which application you use to make this I need to learn that type of application.
I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 and all I honestly have done so far is play around with the hue/saturation, color balance, and selective color filters. Other than that I'm still trying to figure it all out myself.
