Played Shang Tsung, while I hate the fact he uses other characters movesets (NPCS.) He's overall pretty cool and the voice actor gives him so much character!
Having watch the story on youtbe, man what bullshit, especially since Hanzo had finally became an honestly interesting character in the last two games.
D'vorah must die at all cost. Making Scorpion and Sub-Zero allies was the best part in MKX, and to see him be killed off by a character who simply ran off makes it more irritating. It's like the writers desperately wanted to replace Mileena with this newbie.
And Mileena deserves a redemption story arc of her own with Kitana accepting her as her sister. Seriously, I´d love to see that MK9 ending become cannon where she and Kitana actually make up and become (along with Jade) the Outworld equivalent of Charlies Angels. Because it´s quite obvious that in the new cannon, in her unique way, Mileena loves Kitana as a sister.
Well if the writers for the next game don't focus to much on Kotal Kahn and his bullshit I think that opens the room for character development. To be honest Kotal steals all the screentime and not in a good way. In this timeline Mileena is a JOBBER. But with the right writer she could be one of the best characters in the story. I wanna see Reptile get more screentime.
I dunno if many people view her as a villain. She is more a victim of Shao Khan than outright evil. She kinda mirrors MCU Nebula, only even more fucked up due to he existential crisis and circumstances of birth. At least Gamora accepted Nebula. Mileena has no one, she is constantly stabbed in the back by everyone, her "dad" is a tyrant, and Kitana hates her guts. And she ends up killed by DVorah. Trauma Conga Line barely covers her life in the NuMK. And like Nebula, she deserves her happy ending. Also Kotal and Jade came out of the blue.
I had no idea the MK universe ran this deep. Then again the last game I played was MK4 so I’m way behind.
While MK doesn't have the best story, I can see why besides being popular companies would try to make it into a film or television series. The lore is DEEP and has interesting characters who aren't taken advantage of. For example Cyrax. In MK3 he was a cyborg with no motives other than being a villian. Then in MK4 and Deadly Alliance he joined the good guys and rejected Sektor and being removed from his human origins. Mortal Kombat: Deception has the best story. Because you can work for a life long goal, but it will be meaningless in the long run. Onaga needs to return.
In my opinion I think they should of either created a new female character or reuse an old character. When was the last time we saw Nitara? Kira? Ashrah? It felt forced as the two had no prior connection and how it's played out in the story it makes Jade feel more like a object for Kotal.
The marks/veins looks like its his unmasked face. But not having mose and mouth says its a mask. But since it aint fully covered yet, might just be shadow lines.
Is anyone else getting bored yet? Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but I feel like there's just too much to do and unlock that it's gotten extremely tedious for me. I'm getting really sick of resetting the krypt. I've done it about a dozen times now, and I still only have half the skins and gear for each character. And I'm getting extremely bored doing the same towers over and over just to unlock a brutality here and there. I just don't have the time to keep grinding.
Mortal Kombat 11 is boring. It really has nothing to do after the Krypt and Towers of Time, so just wait for the DLC I guess. Weakest MK game in the 21st century. Deadly Alliance was more in depth.
