I wish there were a way to attach his rifle to his back. Maybe the Energon port or something. While we're at it, I need to figure out better knees for Bruticus.  

 

Hi guys, I've never order from shapeways before, but from these pictures
it seems that the kit has an extremely rough surface and I would imagine it would be hell to polish it up. (especially with the head since it has such details)

Can someone with the kit confirm that it indeed doesn't have a smooth surface? I'm highly interested in this kit as it FINALLY brings superion up to the other combiner's height, but it IS discouraging if it requires much sanding on top of painting...

You can order it in polished, which is a bit smoother, but also loses some of the details. Just hit the pieces with some 300 grit for about 5 mins and you should be fine.

 

i hate digging up old threads but I just got my ROTF Superion with all the add-on bells, and whistles. but the fins on the A-10s really irritate me. have you been able to test this part @TM2 Dinobot ? are you selling / do you have a link where to get it? cheers!

 

It never got made. I ended up just disconnecting the inside ball joints and leaving them attached at the wrist. If you get him fully upgraded you can play around with the stance and he doesn't look so bad.

 

disconnecting, as in did you cut them off? i'm sorry for asking too many questions. i haven't gotten around to fully examining my Superion yet. as far as i can tell, my Superion came in with the Fansproject kit, DMY kit, and a custom kit. it's a used unit which i ended up paying for somewhere around $55 (incl. shipping). i might consider disconnecting mine as long as it's a non-destructive process.
