Man, if we thought the 5 page preview was brilliant, the rest of the comic will simply pull the rug from under you!

I applaud them for showing the last frame -- in doing so, it created such a reaction that made readers clamor for more!

    Holy crap. HOLY CRAP!

Okay there were two moments this issue that made me say holy crap.

I can't believe Rung died! I liked Rung! A LOT! Why did they have to kill Rung?! Damn you Swerve! And damn you for making me damn you!

Holy crap! Overlord is alive?! Holy crap! Why the crap is he on board?!

It occurs to me, the *Warning, this will spoil the ending*
Spark eater could have been on board to keep watch over Overlord to kill him if he were to try to escape. Now as for why Overlord is there? No fricken clue. totally called the Me Kill as Kill Me though :D

on a sadder note, *Warning this will spoil the death scene*
RUNG!!! I loved him like an uncle, and they go and KILL him? And then they use the new fan fav to do it? I mean, i LOVE Swerve, but HATE him for accidentally killing Rung. I think I'm starting to both love and hate Roberts now-damn, that man knows how to make you care, then pulls the floor out from underneath ya. DAMN YOU ROBERTS!!!

^^^ and that's why he's the best writer around.

I like your theory about the
Sparkeater watching over Overlord. I wonder who rebuilt his body though?

On that note, why hasn't anyone back on Cybertron tracked down the NAIL's who sold Rodimus the Lost Light in the first place? The rather glib acceptance of the loss of 200 Autobots back home has been a major peeve of mine from Barber.

Prowl might not want to open any big investigation because he knows what really happened to the Lost Light, and knows there'd be no point to really questioning anyone. Of course, there's a lot of stuff suggesting that he doesn't know what happened, so he might also not be investigating for fear that it could be exposed he really did have something planted aboard the ship.

Also, Metalhawk would most likely balk if Bumblebee and Prowl started interrogating and accusing NAILs--especially seeing as how he thinks they're the ones responsible.

All true, however Metal Hawk can hardly complain if the NAIL's that sold the ship are at least questioned. Prowl might not want to investigate, but where are the Autobots who have just seen their millenia old friends vaporised knocking on his door demanding one? Where was the uproar when the memorial service got hi-jacked by Starscream's politiking? Why has no one taken it upon themselves to try and dig a bit?

I appreciate that it's not the major focus of RID, but I can't help but feel that if Roberts was handling that book as well then something would be bubbling away in the background. Barber doesn't seem to be anywere near as adept at carrying multiple plot points or several characters at the same time. He seems to focus on one or two things at a time. It may well crop up again shortly, but for now it's as if it never happened except for the odd passing mention.
