Holy shit, I wanna see Cyclonus tear Star Saber up.

Wait, how did Skids subdue Pharma?

 

God, Cyclonus looks just so incomparably badass here.

 

Since Tailgate turned the Weapon of Mass Suggestion off, the Forged Autobots could move again. Skids probably recovered quickly and decided to take down Pharma with his theoretician moves   he did say he was learninga lot more,and he fought off a horde of Legislators, battle skills must be amped right now!

 

Cool stuff. Still, it makes me feel sort of bad about the breakneck pace of the last few issues. It cut so many narrative corners, it kind of taints everything with a "this should have been way more epic by this stage" feeling.

Nice of them to omit what will no doubt be a crucial page from the preview. That would be too much spoiler, I think.

I'd rather have an IDW accurate Cyclonus - with broken horn and scarred face. Besides, who would you have MP Cyclonus group with?

Cyclonus' samurai-esque design was always BEGGING for a sword so seeing him finally wielding one in a climactic sword-battle is fucking awesome!

 

Tailgate is COMPLETELY FREAKING AWESOME NOW.

 

Why do I get the feeling that Mr. No Known Weaknesses himself will be the one who saves the day. (and go Tailgate, you will be missed.)

Based on what we've seen of scale in the last couple of issues, shouldn't Cyclonus come up to Star Saber's frickin' KNEES or something?

Man. So, hands up. Who here would ever have thought that, in 2013, a lot of us would be rooting for Cyclonus to beat the shit out of Star Saber? Anybody? I sure didn't.

Star Saber is a panel filling dude, no doubt -- but he struck me the same size as Ultra Magnus; who is usually a head or two taller than most of his crewmates.

 

Hell I would NEVER guess that Cyclonus would become in a span of two years one of my all time favorite characters ever considering how he was one of the blandest of the bland characters ever made.

 

And now he´s like Dinobot that turns into a ship.  

 

Cyclonus has been sort of awesome since he showed up in IDW... and he always had some potential, despite his short-shorts and bunny-ears look.

I think the problem (and lately especially) is that scale has been totally screwy across the board. I think it's last issue that we see a shot of the Magnus armour, with Rodimus and company in the foreground, and it's frickin' HUMONGOUS... like twice their size at least.

I got the impression that Dai Atlas and Star Saber were around the same size, but then when you compare how tiny Cyclonus was to Dai Atlas in the big splash page at the beginning of last issue, with Cyclonus in these images, there's quite a bit of variance.

Sometimes Cyclonus is "normal" sized, sometimes he's quite huge (as big as Whirl, who is pretty tall). I know that it's hard to keep this stuff consistent when you've got such a wildly varied size range in your cast, but lately it feels like I'm reading Liefeld's Youngblood or something.
