Well, Gainax is expensive, but a lot of those guys went to Trigger. Who may not be quite as pricey given they're a newer studio.

For that matter Hasbro's still working with foreign studios; Polygon (who did TF:p rime) is Japanese and so is the studio doing Combiner Wars. A key difference though is probably that it's now people familiar with these types of working relationships in charge of media production rather than toy guys.

That Devastator/Constructicon pic makes me long for a series of animated shorts that show the Constructicons as a bunch of screw ups (think Teen Titans Go!)

    Scrapper's the scheming boss
Hook's the aloof know it all
Bonecrusher just likes to break things
    Mixmaster's nutty
Long Haul's the Walter Mitty complainer
    Scavenger's the hopeless romantic

God I'd love to see SOMEBODY after 30 some odd years treat some of these combiner teams as individuals. It's so rare.

a sitcom about the constructicons trying to adjust to life in the city. live action, starring a 20 something celebrity as the flustered roommate trying to do the same, while living with six intergalactic warriors who turn into construction vehicles. this summer on cbs, prepare to be devastates by "Under Construction!"

Well, just bagged one on Ebay. Really wasn't cheap but I don't know how/if I'll ever see another one, so what the hell. I love my artbooks (the Alex Milne AA book still makes me all kinds of happy) and the chance to own this one... ah, it was worth it.

Now I'm going to cry sad/happy tears in the corner...

How much are people paying for these on eBay?

Got mine on Mandarake for 2000JPY + shipping/handling.

Yep; that's basically how they work. Took a day or two for me to get a payment request on mine.

Already recieved the request and paid. 3000 book, 500 handling, and 1000 shipping so roughly $38.

Seems to be the going rate, a little pricey but I doubt this book will ever see print again so it's worth it.
