Interesting how this Prime has the Planet Key symbols on him.
Yeah, makes you wonder if the repaint listing we saw in the Wal-Mart listing might be THIS version? If so, that would lead to the great possibility of a Sunstorm large toy! THAT would make me happy. I mean they're using Excellion...
Wish they'd have done a remold of Optimus to improve the forearms so he doesn't look like he got his hands amputated. I mean, just how the @#$% is he supposed to answer the phone?
Hmm... Prime is interesting. I like the use of black in place of the blue. It's good to see black on a heroic character. But the red-orange makes the repaint feel half-finished since it's so close to Prime's original colors. Judging by the planet markings on his shoulder, I bet the repaint is supposed to be Prime powered up by the Cyber Keys to combat Galvatron.
Sunstorm is nice, but I have to wonder. If there's going to be a larger figure, what will Hasbro do: tick off some of the collectors with a Voyager Sunstorm (instead of GF Starscream or Skywarp), or risk a $50 toy that will sit on the shelves more than a mainstay of Transformers? Of course, a Supreme Sunstorm might not shelfwarm as bad if he shares a case with Primus.
Well, here's hoping that that is the larger Prime repaint... that way it doesn't interest me in the slightest. No since spending another $40 needlessly.
Considering that they're using Excellion... I'd say it's possible that we could see the mega sized figure released as Sunstorm... however, I wonder if TRU would be happy about that? They're usually pretty stingy with their exclusives. Still, a mega sized Sunstorm would be nice... and would help to fill the line out some within that price point. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I hope we do see a full-size Sunstorm figure. I'd buy him as soon as I found him if he came out in Supreme size, but I'll take him in GF size also. Frankly, I'd love to see all seven seekers repainted in the Supreme mold (though the GF size is close enough). Very few characters can pull off being yellow. There's just something about Sunstorm...
Oh man Supreme sun storm would be so sweet but any repaints of the mega mould would be great, I just think supreme fits sun storm more.
A GF sized Sunstorm would be nice. Supreme's overkill no?
It would be cool to see a Voyager sized Sunstorm figure...a new triumvirate of Starcream, Sunstorm and "Thrust" (the TRU 2 pack redeco) would be refreshing since we'll be getting some serious GEEWUN love after Cybertron ends.
A Sunstorm?! I can die happy, and if they come out with a full sized I can be resurected and die happy again!
Sunstorm is so beautiful!
I thought mine was nice...
I'll get e few of that!
Looks Sweet can't wait!
hope the LOC means we'll get the Voyager Snstorm since they screwed the pooch on Skywarp...
I like the Sunstorm but will pass on the others. I may have to get Starscream to have a complete set of these little seekers. I would love to see Thundercracker, Skywarp and Sunstorm released at the mega sized but not so much at the supreme size. I think that would be a little much. I wouldn't be surprised to see these three mega sized figures as BotCon exclusives!
A Voyager Sunstorm would be SWEET. I'd love to have the mold in that size. Supreme would be overkill but...I'd still probably buy it and make it the first Supreme repaint I've ever bought since I'm weak-willed.
Those are hot. Though I wish they'd made Sunstorm's feet white too, but I don't mind much.
I don't think they're going to repaint the leader size Prime. They didn't in Energon because he had new forms (Wing Saber, then Omega), which is similar to to Cybertron since he's got Leobreaker and then Wing Saber again. New forms beat repaints. Plus he was never repainted in the show. (I know, that by itself wouldn't stop them, but E-Prime wasn't repainted in the show either.)
Well, Sunstorm looks good, but I was hoping(and still hoping for the possible Voyager/Supreme repaint)for something more akin to the Universe and G1 eHobby Sunstorms, color-wise. Light and dark orange, rather than pee yellow and dark orange.
Prime looks okay. The black does work, but it does seem like it's half-finished.
a new product listing for Prime showed up in Wal-mart's computers last week, so we're kind of expecting a repaint...
