I seem to remember the leaked artwork for the rear shot of the bot mode of the R8 (which looks similar to this toy) had only two tiny bits of red on it, which I believe were the taillights. No further, red was on there.

 

Car mode is great, i like the automorph thing.. but the legs are just horrible. gotta wait to see a better vid of it though.

 

As many people already pointed out I really don't like the red. Seems out of place. The legs are scrawny but I think they wouldn't look soooo bad if the waist piece at least was black. And perhaps larger feet? Still a cool figure.

 

does anyone else notice that one of the pics in the news item has sideswipe in it? my concern for this figure kinda drops off, noticing that. I wanna see sideswipe.  

 

there must be some horrid mistransformation going on. the legs look TERRIBLE.

 

^^ Sideswipe? Where? Not the pic with the R8 and another silver car? I still don't think this is Barricade. There are some similarity with the 'wings windows' and wheel hands. But the head does not look exactly like Barricade. The head is rounder and the crest is different.

Similar does not always mean the same character. Look at BW Cheetor and Tigatron. They have the same transformation, body and weapons . But they have different alt modes, different color, and similar but different (cat like) faces. Same with the R8 and Barricade. Could be brothers or they just look simialr to each other.

And then you can argue that characters can look completely different from there old form to their new form.

 

thats awesome.....i hope you are right and it is barricade ...and i hope he gets his ass kicked in for not showing up to help megs....that was a really good assessment of what could really transpire in the new movie

This is definitely one of my least favorites to date.

 

It must be Barricade. There must be a Barricade. I love Barricade!!!
It onlu lacks some paint and has got too much red on his lower torso + his feet are soooo small: if you happen to pick up one with loose joints you're fucked!

 

I like the mold especially the car mode, just wish it had a bit more paint particulaly on the bright red waist.

 

I still find this toy look like shit. Whats with the pink/red windows and red body? I was sure they were going for more accuracy with this movie's line this time.

 

It's too similar to Barricade to be anybody else. And I don't know who is kidding themself but look at a closeup of the figure's head, it DOES look like Barricade's, with some superficial changes. Same shape, same placement of eyes/mouth. Any changes are cosmetic.

If it's anybody but Barricade I would be EXTREMELY surprised.

 

the leg should transformed like chicken leg ..JUST like barricade in the fist TF MV1

 

The car sure looks realistic. Robot mode can be anything. What are you basing your accuracy on?
