It’s still happening. The better part of 30 years after the fact, and not 6 months after our last article on ‘new’ vintage pre-Transformers and Transformers discoveries, we’ve managed to cobble together another bunch of items which may or may not have been commonly documented or known about in the past. Thanks to the ever growing knowledge-base and resourcefulness of vintage pre-TF and TF collectors, this hobby continues to serve up surprises and challenge established beliefs.

Another superb article Maz, particularly interesting to me are the featured Mini-bot variations. I thought I was gonna be finished with Gears once I had the pre-rub and '85 versions, but the purplish one is another must-have. :)

I love these articles. It is so cool that new discoveries are still being made after all this time. I especially like that black Sideswipe. What a great looking toy.

Can you be a bit more specific about what you're looking for in a TF database? I'm not sure one exists that lists every single moulding/International or packaging variation. That would be a desperately difficult task. I wouldn't mind helping make one with what I know about Diaclone, Euro TFs, Mex TFs, minibots etc.

Cheers for the kind words, that section on TF-1 is seriously underpopulated. Just comes from the fact that I don;t really buy Transformers any more compared to pre-TFs, however I have got all the pictures I need to produce a decent article on Ceji Transformers as an overview compared to the bits and pieces I have added to TFsource.

    All the best
