It's what happens when the collective fandom has ADD, zero patience, and there are people who actively go looking for things like this at every chance they get.

 

Next year is the 35th anniversary of the '86 movie and they have started to run out of live-action movie character to do. I'm really starting tho think that they are going to do the '86 movie/basically season 3 cast in the studio series line next with some of the remaining Bay movie designs they have left. However, if we are being honest they have basically gone thought all of the live-action movie characters that they can and they want to keep the line going until the next movie comes out. I'm betting that the design team and the Hasbro high ups compromised to basically turn Studio Series into the G1 line for next year and then Generations can get away from G1 and do something different. The Hasbro executives like to keep G1 on the shelves because it sells, but the designer probably know that the fandom has been calling out for years for them to start doing different eras. I'm thinking the Generations next year might be a Beast Wars line because that era seems to keep popping up more and more and has been ready for a comeback for years.

Next year is both the 35th anniversary for the '86 movie and the 25th anniversary for Beast Wars so things seem to line up pretty perfectly.

 

Same bro. Unpopular opinion:I actually like the Design of Bay Hot Rod, and I do wish we get that figure with proper accessories and robot mode first.

I really hope that the Studio Series G1 guys are made to the quality that Earthrise and Siege have enjoyed. (Ankle tilts and waist swivels).

 

Kup and Blurr - Most likely new molds for the 35th anniversary of TF:TM.
Jazz - due to his pretty small roll in TF:TM I'd think it's more likely to be bay Jazz but unless I'm forgetting something he was only in the first movie, so it would probably be a redo of that. I really can't see either of these things happening but I guess we'll have to wait and see
Bumblebee: probably another bay bumblebee since G1 Bee is most likely Netflix or Earthrise.

i do believe the jazz will be the movie version, as to make room for other wfc3 stuff, while as well give the fan the g1 jazz they been craving

 

I mean, that head is just an insult to art in general, but the body’s not too bad and I love Lamborghini’s so I would definitely be down, since the only figure he got was a huge cop out on Hasbro’s part, super lazy. I’m sure he’ll get an SS figure sooner or later though, I think Hasbro has no intention of stopping the line, rather with a new film coming in 2 years, they’ll probably want to bridge the gap.

 

If it's G1 Jazz, and he's unlicensed, it would be the first time a real car doesn't get licensed for a Studio Series release. I mean why not do him in WFC, where generic, non-realistic cars are expected? Why do him in the line where it's expected to see realistic, licensed cars?

movie verse hot rod is a character stuck in limbo. They don’t have the licensing for his alt mode. That’s why his only deluxe class figure wasn’t accurate. I know they’ve had to work around it with Blitzwing and some constructicons but with a flashy car I think they’d rather be faithful.

because Masterpiece. All the MP car bots have been licensed cars to give you what is considered a masterpiece and the most faithful representation of the character. That’s the point of it. And it’s Takara. They’re not deviating from that.

 

I find myself pretty neutral on the prospects of Kup and Blurr. The Titans Return versions (or rather, the Takara versions there of), were excellent. I know some people didn't care for the Titanmaster gimmick with them, but I didn't mind at all and consider both pretty much perfect.

Jazz... I scuttled the RtS version recently for PotP, because that one fit the aesthetics of my Generations shelf better, but I wouldn't mind another try if this isn't movierse somehow.

Jolt and Dino... I'd have to see pics. I'm being very selective with movieverse toys.

Why the hell would they make a 86 movie jazz if it isn't accurate to the movie, the ss line is about robot and alt mode accuracy
I would be dissapointed if they make jazz a fake car instead of a Porsche, if they make him a fake why didn't they release him in the wfc trilogy?
