Soundwave or Starscream, I’d wager. Megatron’s out because of Lego’s “no war toys” rule (no tank or gun mode allowed) unless he’s a jet, car, truck, or helicopter, and I don’t see any of those options getting Lego sets any time soon because these sets seem to have iconic altmodes attached to them (in other words, altmodes that people who watched the G1 cartoon as kids would remember).

You forget, they'll make war toys if it's a license. Who honestly knows where the company draws the line.

While true, I think with Megatron we're more likely to see Beast Wars Megatron first before G1 Megs, unless as already mentioned he's given a new alt mode though that would kind of defeat the whole (what I assume is) point of this line.

Anything with real world military applications is a no-go from them, unless it's like super stylized or science fiction.

But then you got like Mega Bloks making seriously cool sets based on CoD and Halo, guns, tanks and all.

Soundwave would be so easy if they keep his G1 Transformation, now the cassettes might be tricky but those designers need to be challenged!

Well, Starscream would be a "war toy" :)  Though if they made it look good, I might be tempted. I could totally see them do Soundwave too. However if they did that, I really do want to see how they'd treat the cassettes. Because if they knocked that out of the park...Blaster would be a no-brainer! :D

That's always the first go-to, it's a funny observation at first glance and almost seems hypocritical. :lol

People misinterpret Lego's "rule" on that all the time. It isn't no "war toys" or anything like that. It's more that Lego's stance is avoiding anything that is overt violence and real world combat. This has meant to be no tanks, combat vehicles, any vehicle made to kill people in real life. No real world armies. Knights, Star Wars, Marvel, gets away with it by being "fantasy violence," stuff you can hand wave away or minimize violent aspects for more peaceful aspects.

That being said Lego has done WWI planes before. The Fokker Dr.I and Sopwith Camel. The Camel twice even.

Prime was not the greatest Lego set and I think it could have been better. But I bought it because it’s Lego Prime and pretty iconic. I also thought it would be the only TF Lego set. But Bee did not turn out well at all and the parts forming is not acceptable to me so I haven’t bought it yet. I was planning to buy it but it’s not a huge priority. My opinion is that they should stop making TF Lego sets before they get any worse.

Fair point. They do have a tendency to bend the rules from time to time. *looks at Lego’s Star Wars sets, many of which are military vehicles* But I still doubt that they’ll ever make a tank-based Megatron.
