I don't get the apologists that come out of the woodwork everytime Hasbro lets us down. Fair enough it's just petty bitching.

But I'm tired of the excuses. If Hasbro can't do it right, I'd rather they not do it at all. If they're going to do a combiner, they should take their time and make something worthwhile.

If they can't do that, I'd prefer they just stick with what they're good at, rather than all these half-hearted attempts at something that could've been really cool.

Huh, so the main torsos for the Combiners are scout classes? And so you could theoretically replace Onslaught with that Smolder figure?

Okay, I am LIKING this alot. Activators are also neat in that they're continuing the line. I only own one; Ani. TC, and that's because he was a gift two X-mases ago, but I'd be willing to look into more Classics-oriented activators. I'd kill for a Warpath activator, simply because that would be so cool.

Everything is aimed at younger kids.

The unfortunately named 5-piece "gestalts" have fallen victim to this.

My stance is that Transformers should transform... not be stunted.

The good news is.... looks like War for Cybertron is aimed at us!! :D

My disappointment is the scale of the PCCs ~ so combined Scramble-city style combiners will likely be barely larger then a Deluxe???

...and my guss that the 2 pack core figs could be used as cores with the 5 packs looks to be confirmed
YEah, Hasbro's been using that for a few years now. I kind of hate it because it sounds super pretentious to me for some reason

Some of us are tired of the way you assume that if it ain't worthwhile for YOU then it ain't worthwhile at all (followed by your immediate denial thereof).

Some of us are tired of the way people unapologetically set themselves up for disappointment time and time again.

I wonder if the power up armor mode of the minicons that come with the scout figures are actually more of like a chest shield for when the figures in gesalt mode. That would be very creative if it was and I always prefer no partsforming. And being able to swap out the central scout figure is a great idea and I'm sure it'll bring many possibilities for customizers. Hopefully the limb Legends figures really just don't turn into vehicles, that could really be a deal breaker

I dont envy hasbro at all. Theyre in a tough position when it comes to combiners. I think it's fair to say that as fans, most of us want a decent, solid combined mode with good articulation, and we also want decent individual robots with good articulation. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I dont think hasbro has ever achieved this, which leads me to believe that it's incredibly difficult and/or expensive to pull off.

I thought the energon gestalts had an AWFUL combined mode, but had good individual bots. Supreme devs had the posability, but lacked bot modes. Legends Devs nearly gets it right, but doesnt quite cut it in the articulation departmant (combined and individual). G1 gestalts were amazing, but G1 played by different rules, and unfortunately people DO demand more from their toys these days.

I'm not too happy about the revelation that the 5 pack legends don't have bot modes, but if im honest I'd prefer to have a decent, poseable limb with no bot mode that a non posable limb with a non posable bot mode. It aint a perfect trade off, but I'll be displaying them in combined mode anyway.

If the line is small, I might actually get all the Power Core Combiners. I think the problem is that people need to think of the limbs more as "drones" rather than non-transforming characters. Unless, of course, they try to pass them off as non-transforming Transformers like the big Devastator.

Here's the thing. They've already lowered our exectations with their attempt at ROTF Devastator. Expectations are way low after that debacle.

Instead they come up with a new way of letting us down. It's like rubbing salt in an old wound.

All they have to do is deliver a gestalt with bot modes. I don't think we're all that hard to please. Look at the raving over Legends Devastator.

Wait...so the limbs don't have robot modes then?

    *Sigh* Dammit Hasbro.

I'm waiting on pictures before I give it the old thumbs up or thumbs down.

I've never been a big fan of the scout sized class because most of the figure just look too small when displayed with my other figures.

But this new line might be the perfect excuse for me to start a collection of a different scale. If nothing else the low price point definitely makes it worth picking up a few to see if it's going to be something I like or not.

My point exactly. It is the equivalent of people wanting ROTF Leader Prime at the deluxe price point.

Sad that the legends won't be able to transform, but automorphing into thier limbs is pretty cool. Also glad to see Voyagers are back at $20 a pop as opposed to $24.

I agree....this year's offering of transformers is even worse than this past year. In a year without classics, the ROTF line only half way satisfied me. All the things listed so far, sound very lackluster. c

EPIC fail hasblow. I guess the only money you will be getting from me, is for WFC figures...

    Folks:
This seems like it could be a lot like Machine Robo Rescue, in some ways.

If the autotransform limbs work well, it *will* be kind of neat to act out the typical anime combine sequence in almost real time. Cue up the Voltron theme! :D

Wait wait, the limbs AUTOTRANSFORM into their respective parts upon being attached to the main body?

It-it's what I've always dreamed of! :cry  I don't even really care that there might not be individual robot modes, so long as the automorph gimmick is neat.

    Eager for Toy Fair. :D

I care about automorph, PowerCORE combiners are supposed to be a main CORE robot with with combining mini-cons and limbs, that's the concept, it's not the same as G1 Scramble style, stop talking like you know what everybody wants and how anybody else is just being Hasbro's bitch, that's more bullshit than Legends Devastator having good individual robots (you like to state your opinion as the end all for the fandom, so why can't I?)

    Good night.
