I don't know why they couldn't just give him a separate chest design to begin with. Like letting him keep his cybertronian smily face.

I'm not keen on the yellow they chose and I think overall the plastic in the whole line is looking a little too soft, like it loses some detail, I'm also iffy on the silver faction symbols - are those definitely on the final product?

They did look better at the convention, as Xython pointed out. Sharper, better colors

butttttt I still like em all so far and will buy the whole damn line

He said it looks fragile, not that it is actually fragile.

sorry if anyone post this already..but i think hasbro did design all the toys in first place.. then the animator just simplify the fig to fit in the animated... remember., the cartoon sells the toys.. but to us, try to compare how accurate the toys to the animated show, i think it might be the other way around....how u think guys??

    No he actually said:
I wish Bumblebee was in the colors shown at the con, painted yellow works over the nearly neon yellow they chose in this case.

I imagine there was a back and forth between Hasbro and the character designer for the show rather than any "here are the designs - you just simplify it" sort of thing

Probably because they fancied having his torso be a G1 nod.

I would've rather have to pay $5-$10 more and have Bulkhead be a lot bigger than Bumblebee

Looking at the comparison shots of Bulkhead and BB....I'd say it would of been alot better to have Bulkhead a Voyager class instead of deluxe....then again I always think that sedans and compact cars should be deluxes, while SUV's and junk should be Voyagers....meh.

Still though, BB is one of the must haves on my list....everytime though I see him on Ebay he's already going over 80 bucks....I really can't wait until June....it still pisses me off alot.

Umm.....Bulkhead is a Voyager class figure. Personally, and this isnt' aimed at you, I think a lot of fans look at how tall a TF is as to what size class they belong in. Realistically, that's not one of the things that decides what size class a figure gets put into (even more so with Animated). It's all about it's overall size and mass. Which makes Bulkhead being a Voyager make perfect sense. He might be short, but, his bulk more than makes up for that.

Yeah i know figures being out of scale is one of the few constants in TFs 23 year history. It's canon as a friend of mine recently said.

Its just a shame they can't extend the so far impressive show accuracy of this line to the scale too. Ah well, it's a minor gripe the toy/character design for this line are so awesome I'm almost definately going to buy every show character regarless of scale.

I'd rather have decent sized figures that I can play with than an uber tiny one or Gigantor one that I can't because they're "not in scale".

My only grip with these toys, is the same one most people have: they can't come out soon enough.

Which is what they did. The show uses the real one but it's a cartoon, and physics don't count for much there.

.....seriously, yes please. After 4 episodes I'm very interested in his toy more than any others.

Wow... I so want this toy. But seeing him next to Bulkhead removes the temptation to get him. I was under the impression that this series would have some semblance of scale. With that, obviously mistaken, impression, I was planning to get at least the core cast. But now the temptation for that is gone. I don't want baby bulkhead to go with Giant Bumblebee.

I can just imagine how tall Prowl and Lockdown are gonna be..they're going to be able to smack around voyager Bulkhead.
