Yep. Tho they might be a bit shorter than Mp10. A worthy sacrifice considering trains are massive.

I don't think Raiden ever had "pants". Looking at his original toy the 6 bots didn't need a separate piece to connect the legs to the torso.

Devastator definitely came with pants as the original toy so will likely always be a pantsformer. With these 6 bots I don't think anyone has ever tried to add a separate "pants piece" to Raiden. Head, fits, chest shield, etc. are all still up in the air about partsforming with different versions of Raiden.

I mainly meant weak in the visual department. Zeta knows how to make combiners, so that’s no concern.

Hopefully with baby superion on its way, baby raiden might come.

It's kind of funny we're all sitting here debating partsforming and the original toys couldn't even make it to robot mode without coming to bits.

The reason you would do a separate pants piece for Raiden is that it's quite hard to engineer two different scales of hip joints into a single bot. Nobody's really pulled it off yet.

You either wind up with the double duty hips being unstable like on Ordin, the combiner having ugly proportions like TT Raiden or any combiner wars figure, or severe sacrifices to the individual bot mode like titan devy or MMC bruty. It certainly looks like zeta have solved the appearance issues here. Time will tell if they've solved for stability as well, but I'm willing to give them credit that they have based on their track record.

That only helps if you participate in relevant discussions. That is why it takes a long time for some people to even know such phrases exist, let alone to adopt them.

The feet are not there in train mode, so they might be able to be folded away in combined mode, but I don't know if they tucked something else in there to make room for the shoulder joint or maybe the back train wheels.

I'm really not that fussed about anything after the Movie but damn if this doesn't look good. Zeta know their combiner shit.

They do a Computron this accurate next and my wallet's fucked. Because then I'll need Abominus.

I know in fiction it isn't accurate, but I've always felt Raiden went more with pre-movie figures since it was designed for Diaclone like the early characters, just not picked up outside Japan.

I agree that a pair of pants could be added to Raiden if it helped combiner stability. Partsforming combiners do not bother me much, especially if it aids in combiner stability. XTB got lucky that Mensor had a whole trailer to hide his pants in.

For single bots, partsforming bugs the heck out of me. I want to pull my old G1 Thundercracker off the shelf when MP-52+ arrives, but dang I cannot remember which box I left his fists in. Essential things like hands and weapons and heads really do need to have a place to go when in alt-mode for modern combiners. Not sure why I give combiners a pass.

Wowza. This is coming along nicely. I haven't been checking in too often, just waiting patiently.

I saw the Takara go up for sale on BBTS today. Takara bot mode looks pretty CHUGGY to me. Then the price was a shock. Double what this one is listed for?!?

Full speed ahead Moon Studios! I feel like buying two of each character now. :lol

Don't look at the Takara combined mode. I love the current cartoon Takara MP's in general but man, their Raiden looks shite.

For what it's worth, I literally have nothing in my room besides a dresser and night stand. I spend 85% of my time in my basement with all of my figures/guitars/computer/ps5, seems pointless to have stuff in my room. I typically sell stuff to make room every 6-12 months. "Out with the old, in with the new" -kinda deal.

Makes sense. Prevents your collection from getting stale. I just got rid of a thousand dollars worth of stuff myself.
