Moon's bot mode is cleaner but Takara's alt mode proportion is super accurate.
Holy kibble and backpack, Batman. Takara's looks like trash in two out of three modes. Only the train looks good.
Or Haslab Unicron vs. Cell.
I like Takara’s bot mode but I’m sure I’ll like Zeta’s combine mode better
I hear you but the trains both look good even if the alt mode is supposed to be longer. Moon/Zeta looks far better in bot and in combined modes from what we know.
Those 3 times you borrowed my VR goggles don’t count as “trips to Japan”.
is anyone able to upload any pics of Takara's first train bot in train mode please?
I have no real interest in trains or combiners BUT I suspect I'll be buying both Zeta AND Takara's because I like cool looking robots and I AM ALWAYS HERE FOR C H O M K.
Both versions are going to have backpacks. MS's hangs below the knees.
Liking the Takara design more. Their prices and materials are shit but their engineer is always very good. Can wait for a KO instead of going MS.
As much as I agree that zeta's bot mode is far better than TT's ,especially compared to how the character looks in the show.
Whoever is taller get my money, if they're the same height, I'd go for TT too.
Yeah, at first I didn't know if it was the chest or the waist. I guess once you attach the arms it will look really nice.
It looks like we area having two very good contenders. I'm loving what I see, and I love the styles are so different.
Didn't notice it before but it does look like the moon studio one suffers from a pretty severe case of butt flap syndrome. Not as bad as the hiking backpack the official has but it's definitely there. Takara sculpt looks much more accurate to me, even down to the massive train panels making up the lower legs but build is going to be a huge worry. They've had issues with hardware in recent releases just not holding up (mp44, mp52) and I don't think it's any coincidence that their two largest mps (Magnus and Star saber) are some of the worst releases in the line imo.
Hey ghostfossil it looks like Takara didn't listen to your advice with the hands and the perspective. So some bots suffer from the head-too-small syndrome and Shouki suffers from the hands-too-big syndrome.
Haha, that's simply because I just post it a few days ago and unfortunately the choice and design has been made.
I bet they're all sobbing in bed for not asking my opinion 3 years ago.
Dark Knight looks like he's made of the exact same blue plastic as Zeta's Onslaught to me.
Damn. I had cancelled all my POs for the Moon Studio bots because at the time I was streamlining and didn't think I "needed" them. Full-colour product shots changed everything.
Oddly enough, I actually really like TT's after seeing thr color pics. It has a nice mix of MP and CHUG aesthetics, and the train mode looks great.
Zeta is cleaner, but I've never been a big fan of their blocker aesthetic, and small details like the faces look super outdated.
Great that there are 2 options out their for consumers though.
Buying both Zeta and Takara. Why not? Its a combiner and who wouldn't want extra trains for under the X-mas tree
Oh God, animes aren't real? Mind blown.
Good news is that I don't expect either will sell out immediately (and Takara is somewhat likely to re-run them eventually if they do), so if you want to wait on in-hand feel and QC, I think you're safe to do so.
