Gonna need a price on these, but I bet they're waiting for more info on MP Raiden.

So Zeta started advertising their Unicron off the back of HasLab's project and got slapped down to the point they had to invent a new company name to sell half the toy.

And the lesson they learned? Just do it again with Raiden. Start teasing their project off the back of new info/pics related to official HasTak product and hide it under a new company name.

....Zeta really wants to be the company that forces HasTak to bring the hammer down on 3P, don't they.

Zeta started showing their Unicron during HasLabs crowdfunding campaign, this guy is coming out before and possible around the same time as a Masterpiece release. Very different in that Unicron may have been one of the few times 3rd party may have hurt official sales enough for Hasbro to do something.

If 3rd party can have MP Megatrons and Primes come out at the same time as the MP versions, heck even Starscreams, I'm pretty sure this will be fine.

They are roughly $109.99 depending on where you shop. Preorders have been up for a while.

As for the rest, exaggeration is what it is. Plenty of third party projects have overlapped Takara efforts.

Some cave like FT and their original Soundwave others rebrand and don't give a shit like Studio Cell. Much like Lego though, Hasbro could try to push the issue legally but it won't stop the Chinese from doing what China does best. Especially since none of these are actually KOs of existing Hasbro designs.

Damn, just got a bunch of e-mails from BBTS and it seems like they're all pushed back to Dec.

Which is no surprise as I don't know anyone who really believed we've have them all by August:lol

Same here. As long as I get them I am not going to sweat when I get them. But right during the holidays is going to stress a already stressed wallet. Guess Christmas will be a little better this year (we need it).

Fortunately for me, the hands are the only thing they share with their older "combiners" :p

This looks impressive so far. C\'mon TT show us your stuff, I really want to support an official release. Does anyone happen to know where the track is from? Appears to be some sort of lego-compatible brick system but I don\'t recognize it. I wonder if it actually rolls on a track, or if that was just for aesthetic purposes. It would be amazing (though highly doubtful), if TT MP Raiden scaled to fit on an HO gauge track.

People seem to underestimate how much space a combiner hand would take up... Especially when you can tell these ones don't split in half like MMC’s.... They are a separate piece, get over it. You can live your life just fine if you have to take a toy’s hands off occasionally.

Not sure about that, but every market has a competition. And this is a good competition to Hastak. Instead of hammering these 3p, why don't they level up their game instead if they want to survive in this bot creating adult loving toys. Lols!

I'm not sure they're going to compete... isn't the hastak train going to be more like gen selects?

Zeta Raiden is gonna be all out this year (or early next year) and much bigger than TT’s Raiden. I think it’s for 2 different combiner markets and Zeta’s will be fully available for about a year before TT even gets one piece out.

I don’t think it’ll be as tense as Unicron. I think it was the Kickstarter aspect with the possibility of it failing that really pissed off Hasbro. They didn’t seem to have a problem with all the other MP Primes coming out alongside MP44.

Yeah, the tension will definitely be lower than it was with Unicron, cause that was neck and neck with one of if not their biggest marketing pushes and products of the year. There'll definitely be some internal tension from Hasbro and/or Takara's standpoint(s), but it most certainly won't go anywhere, so basically standard fare.

It says it "matches" Lego track on two of the pics.

If Takara's is sized for HO, that would be WAY smaller than this set's. Lego gauge isn't far off from O.

If anyone wants some comparisons, I've got Lego track handy, and my TF collection...

HO equals 1:87, which is less than half the size it needed to be for MP-scale.
    As I said before:
About O-scale... This one isn`t clearly defined (for whatever reason). It goes from 1:43,5 to 1:48.

I know everyone keeps fighting over making Masterpiece versions of Raiden...

Can't we just get one decent generations version of him? I'm willing to pay the 3P price for it.

I thought this was common knowledge. When announcing Raiden at TFCon, they said would be part of the their higher end brand. Maybe people are confused that brand has a new name?
