I'm loving the train mode!!! Can't wait to complete this set.

Hey, it's ok lol. No shame in doing what you do. It makes us all human. I usually hesitate a bit before opening my figures, so you're not alone..

 

Picked up the first 2 releases from TCP’s restock today. I’ve seen too many good reviews to sit on the sidelines with this combiner. I’ve got a number of Japanese G1 mp characters that I had been questioning if I needed them or not. Guess it’s time to add to the collection.

 

I'd say go for it. You'd be glad you did..

 

My first two arrived today and boy I was not ready for how big this is going to be lol. They are magnificent

 

Perfect size for an MP Raiden..

 

I completely agree. With that said my collection until him has been mainline with the scaled 3rd party figs mixed in. Can't decide where to display them outside of their Christmas train display time lol

 

Ahh yes. One of the hardest decisions to face is that one lol. I'm sure you'll have it figured out though..

 

Yeah it is a good type of problem to have lol. Last MP mainline I got was Soundwave and I only got fanshobby Nightbeat since the character ties into my gamertag so I just forget how big MP vote can get lol. My biggest combiner in right now is feral rex lol, he'll look like a sad frightened kitty next to God Raiden lol. I'm thinking of getting TFC Hades just to have a cool 6 v 6 combiner showdown but I feel like Hades maybe too small to square up

 

I own TFC Hades. I like the design and feel of him, however, the problem with him is getting him to stand right. If you've seen reviews for him, then you know what I'm talking about. Rumors were swirling around for awhile now about a possible rerun with better parts and parts for people to buy that already have him to help with the stability of the combiner. If what is said rings true, I'll just buy the parts for the combiner since I already own him. It'll be a good investment..

 

I hope the next two figures in the set will come out soon.

I'm a huge fan of the team (had the original Takara box set when I was a child), but at the moment, I'm really torn.
Neither of the two current offerings tick enough marks -- Takara has great train mode, Moon Studio has a great combined mode, individual robts I don't really like on either side.
With the next two out, it will at least be clear how stable the combiner will be in dynamic poses, so that I could commit.
(I still kind of hope for all-in-one from MMC, but that is likely a very long shot)

 

Well, with things up and running again after the CNY now, it won't be long before the next 2 members are out..

 

Finally getting to check out my trains. I only got to check out Ice Land so far but aside from a popped out side window and the right panel that pivots on that tiny ball joint coming loose every so often it was a mostly okay experience. I also had a tiny bit of trouble closing the gap on the front of the train but that was just due to me having the thighs slightly rotated so it couldn't close right.

Other than that I am impressed so far and i'm looking forward to fiddling with Dark Night tomorrow.  

Oh, that reminds me! One thing I don't like. The thumbs. Do they really not have a mid-thumb bend?

 

Hmm, I guess Moon was trying to avoid a very nasty case of "all thumbs" lol. My only problem with Dark Night is that in combined mode, I wish he could sit flat like Ice Land. He has a slight backwards lean to him when setting him on a flat surface. Other than that, everything else with these figures are a "go."

 

And once again the thumbs are killing me. I'm just starting to transform Dark Knight and the thumbs are preventing me from folding the damn hand into the forearm.... I HATE the thumbs.

Edit: finally got the hand and thumbs tucked in and thankfully no breakages. One other thing that didn't help was the entire left arm was TIGHT. Made transformation really worrisome. All is good now, though. Stopped mid-transformation to eat.
