seriously, I can not get over just how frickin GOOD the music is, I've bought both singles of the songs off itunes, and its the only time I've ever used Itunes, they're that frickin good!
5 pounds in nothin, man. I suppose you could carry it easier by holding the nerf gun the way you would a rifle along your arm while marching, having the scythe part over your shoulder.
Not alone in the slightest. Over the top is one thing, but the fight scenes have progressed to the point where they are almost parodies of themselves. The thrill of watching characters kick ass is only exciting as long as a threat is still posed. Plus when every single one of a characters movements looks sped up you might want to tone it down a bit.
I really hope this is Rooster Teeth giving Monty Oum at reason to be all crazy with fights, and just letting Red Vs Blue be like it used to be.
I think Red's name is "Ruby Rose." The tombstone in her trailer says "Samuel Rose" White's name has been confirmed as "Weiss"
Rooster Teeth ยท "Black" Trailer As nice as this looks, I'm very disappointed in the Voice acting, Adam (I think that's his name.) sounds like someone doing a bad Yu-Gi-Oh abridged voice on youtube, and Black, sounded the same.
Rooster Teeth's voice actors aren't professional. They're all usually in-house staff members. So, Blake (isnt that a guy's name?) has a Fusion/Gun/Whip Sword. Adam's sheath is also a shotgun. This is going to be nice. Also, must every trailer have a shot of the girl in midair while the moon is behind her?
So? That doesn't mean they're bad, Church's speech at the end of season 8 was quite a tear jerker, because Burine Burns made a great performance. And Joel Heyman is a professional.
To be fair though, given the hours Burnie and the other core RVB cast have put in, they're probably up there with professional voice actors. Since they do all their own stuff, and everyone in the office gets involved, it's now time for some of the other staff to do some VA. Don't worry, they tend to improve FAST.
I enjoyed it, though I think White has been my personal favourite thus far. I'll agree that the voice acting felt a little rough at points. And a couple of observations on the trailer from various comments on reddit: 1. There is something going on with the moon, as it is clearly breaking apart with each new trailer. 2. The guy is named either Adam or Autumn (some hear Adam, others hear Autumn). 3. He has a rose pattern on his coat, and there was a rose on the tombstone Ruby visits at the beginning of the Red trailer. 4. His finishing move on the crab walker causes it to break apart into rose petals, like the wolves that Ruby kills. 5. The crates on the train have the same symbol that was on the back of Weiss's jacket in the White trailer. Blake Lively.
Well now I don't like this. The voice acting is a bit too 'not good' (for lack of more accurate/appropriate words), seeing the cool stylish world in motion this time around just made it look cheap and odd, the story has little to no subtext and makes no sense to the viewer thus, Blake's outfit is unbelievably silly (Ruby is alright because she has a hood and even underneath what she wears looks feasible and Weiss is a performer) and is devoid of a lot of personality, Adam is just terrible, etc. I'll watch the last trailer, but I'm close to just not watching. It works great as a cheeky series of cool action scenes set to awesome music (which the black trailer did have, though I'd say less impressive than the last two), but as a serious online web animation? I'm not sold.
Voice acting is bad. Far too anime for my taste. Fighting is boring. Well, I've gotta pass. Sorry RT, guess it's just RvB for now...
