This suggestions requires that I build a swivel somehow... I like the idea, but I'm not sure how to do this.
The back sidepanels currently go up on the roof to form the cape'ish back kibble.

I am working on a way to do the trunk proper, but don't have it finalized yet.

Any other suggestions are super welcome. :)

Heres a suggestion for the trunk which is prettymuch just to fold it under and behind the back window.

A piece of flexible plastic could even be used for the hinge. Also one way that you could build a swivel would be if you have access to Legos as Ive seen multiple kitbashes that use legos for joints. But thats just a suggestion.

Is a third party that made the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from a Hound mold that would probably fit another nicely

I have their Outback, and those things are tiny. Like the size of legends figures.

The problem here is that the back of the Ecto1 doesn't transform like that. The whole back 3rd are his legs. So not only does he stand on them, but this piece will have to split in half.
But the trunk does move out to form his heels. And I'm currently trying to make the Monkeemobile Trunk extend out from the Ecto Trunk (and form heels).

How much bigger than Lego figures are they? Those would be scale I would aim for

Okay, now I'm confused. I thought we were talking about heads? These figures' Heads wouldn't work as a head for the Monkeemobile.

Although since someone mentioned Headmaster Hotrod, I think there's a headmaster Brawn in the TR Line(?)

Yes there’s a TR Brawn in the Titanmaster class.

TR Brawn’s square chin mike make a decent Mickey Dolenz head

I really appreciate everyone's input, but I'm not sure if everyone is familiar with the way the Ecto backend transforms.

I hope this helps explain what I'm working with and at least my first steps at how to solve this.

First with out the Monkee pieces:

    SAT01-Trunk.jpg

You can see here that where the Backpack and wings end up they are no where near where the trunk will be.

Now with the pieces loosely attached:

    This is him standing:

I love what you're doing with this and hope it turns out for you. If you like, I can try 3d modeling a custom head for you (I'd need a sketch to work from or at least a pretty good description of what you want). I've done a few human faces and a couple of robot faces in the past and I think they turned out pretty well. You'd need to find someone with a decent printer (preferably resin) to print it for you cuz my fdm isn't up to making a piece good enough to make it into a finalized figure.

I know the Monkeys. I used to live down the road from Davy Jones and went to university with his ex-wife.

Thank you for the offer @Snaku ! I don't know how I would print it though. Let me think about it and maybe we can chat. :)

@primalxconvoy - That's awesome. I was pretty upset when he passed. Peter too. In fact this project started shortly after Peter's death.

Yup. I just think it'd be a fun challenge and I happen to own Ectotron so I can take any measurements necessary and can even do test prints to make sure it works (sloppy looking fdm test prints but they're good for testing) and I just finished my last project so I thought I'd offer since just doing one head sculpt wouldn't be too difficult. But yeah, if you're able to find someone to print it for you and you're interested, let me know.

Also, I'm thinking of buying a resin printer with my stimulus check - if I do, I can print the final sculpt for you as well.
