    Very interested in the modular aspect of this line, because it personally looks very promising!

    I'm done!!

    Rest of the build process. Each pic was how far I made in a day. I think it was a pretty decent pace. Not too much at once to feel bogged down, until today when I really pushed to finish lol. But it was a fun experience! Just still don't think I'm going to make model building a regular part of my collecting hobby.

    Looks great. How many stickers are there on this kit? I see the panels on the leg that stand out from the plastic.

    If I've counted the duplicated numbers right from the instructions, there were 72. And honestly I'd have been fine with more. I am no painter and will never be painting this, but there are so many details left out that I very much wish weren't. Especially some more blue accented areas.

    Okay, GS; you fine folks going Senile on us now? what is even the point in all the otherwise excellent color molding and Tampo-Printing
    if you're going to arbitrarily put your foot down on painting half the kit in order to get the proper Slate/Duck-Egg Blue tone of the main body?!?!!!

    OHHHHH, he looks bitching! :D

    But I'm torn between waiting for him and scoring Bamco's HG 1/144 Mazinger Zero Infinitism kit.

    On one hand, it's cool that Mazinger Zero Infinitism has a display stand, plus display arms and effect parts that you can build. On the other hand, I really like Moderoid Mazinger Zero's overall sense of CHONK.

    Any pro tips?

    I would personally go for the Moderoid. The Infinitism suffers way too much proportionally from using Mazinger Z's thighs and biceps.

    Whoa, wasn't expecting that for a response. Actually, lately I was watching a Chinese video review for the Infinitism and apparently the limbs are super loose, at least on his copy? So you might be right on the money.

    Plus, I cannot say no to that CHONK. It's like "oh lawd he comin" levels of chonk and I love it!

    (Incidentally, is there a legit difference in terms of perks regarding Moderoid and Bamco's HG kits? Aside from how Moderoid has a way more expansive list of robots? Seriously, an earlier post had oversea audiences requesting a Moderoid of Megas XLR and that was a "say whaaaaat?!" moment for me.)

    I can't believe no-one's really mentioned (apart from one small promo pic) Good Smile's Moderoid Technoboyger set for the Thunderbirds 2086 vehicles. I just picked one up from Plaza Japan after seeing Kapow Toys posting about it on FB (they missed it too). Weirdly, I don't remember the show at all, but I must have watched it as a kid, because as soon as I saw those ships I got huge nostalgia tingles. It turned up today and I've built it, and it really is good. My only gripes are the spru marks (which I don't think can be helped), the tiny stickers are a bit fiddly (but that's probably down to my sausage fingers) and at some point, to really get it looking finalised, I'll have to break out the paints. Otherwise, it's great in all modes.

    My daughter and I finally finished this beast last evening:
    1000005548.jpg 1000005549.jpg 1000005550.jpg 1000005553.jpg 1000005551.jpg 1000005552.jpg 1000005546.jpg 1000005547.jpg 1000005545.jpg

    I'll probably be applying the transfers at some point, and maybe add some paint and weathering where it's needed. The only place I feel needs paint specifically is the front of the ammo belts. They're supposed to be white.

    all of which requiring ALL the Finger Strength you can Muster... and Then Some;
