Something has bothered me about modern combiner heads. They are basically larger versions of the main body bot.... To me, this robs the combiner of its individual newly arisen personality. Older combiners had an entirely different head to go with a merged personality... The new stuff of recent years is basically Super-Prime, Super-Grimlock, Super-Elita, Super-Galvatron, Super-Starscream... I would much rather have a completely different head representing the merged psych of all the bots / cons.

    Thoughts?

Well, Galvatron is supposed to be a resurrected Galvatron possessing Cyclonus in the Legends Manga.

Also it would have been nice to get Sweeps that could combine to form limbs. And if Mega Scream got his limbs from the Deviations comic.

I do get what you mean though. What I didn't like was Computron getting Superion's head. I don't like faceplates.

    The Decepticons needed more limbs.

Ah, I didn't know about the Galvatronus backstory. In that specific case, I would agree with that head.

A few years back I did manage to get Sweep limbs to work.

I've seen the connector set on Ebay a few times.

Ah, I made my own connectors. Can you point me to an example of a set for sale. I'd like to compare. Mine connected well, but due to the knees being dependent on Scourge's loose swivel, it wasn't the most stable entity to stand.
