Hey everybody, so recently I've decided to modernize some TF alt-modes. And by some I mean 84 of them. Some are lightly photoshopped, some are heavily photoshopped, some aren't photoshopped at all. I'll be releasing them in groups of six, starting with the Autobots and then switching teams every other post. Let's get started shall we?

Not sure I agree with Mirage (A Le Mans racer would be better) or Wheeljack (some sort of European Touring/Rally Car sounds better) but the rest work.

Yeah, but I wanted to go with more "affordable" options for them so that it would be plausible for them to be on the street without arousing suspicion.

....given some of the wheels in G1, these two kinda break the mold.

Also, Veloster Bumblebee was my idea as well!

Where's Rodimus?

 

I'm just thinking there's a little too much 'Murica in the list. So many Dodges and Chryslers and GMs, this isn't the movies. Lots of the alt-modes were very exotic back then, why can't they be exotic now?
Jazz and 'Swipe feel like the worst offenses. Jazz could still be a Porsche; 'Swipe could be a "lower-end" Lamborghini, or even an Alfa 4C.

 

But see, here's the thing. The Autobots landed in the States. Porsches and Lambos are not terribly common in the States. As such I tried to find "similar" vehicles that are more common and are therefore more likely to be selected by the Autobots

 

And now it's time for the Dinobots as promised

Before we start I would like to explain the twist. I thought it would be cool for the Dinobots to be Triplechangers. Giant robotic dinosaurs kinda stick out a little bit (Robots in Disguise?). But I decided to give them vehicles that fit their style in the form of military vehicles. Also I decided to make their dino-modes a hybrid of two different dinosaur species as you'll soon see.

1. Porsches are fairly common. I live in the middle of nowhere in the midwest, in a town of less than 40k, and there's four or five Porsches in town, and one Lamborghini.

2. Weren't the altmodes exotic for the 1984 series? The 'bots and 'cons landed in the States then, but still had Porsches and Lambos and Datsuns and Hinos (!) as altmodes. Why make them more realistic now, when America's car market is more diverse than ever?

I do like your idea for the Dinobots though. Very clever.

 

Changes have been made to Jazz, Sideswipe, and Mirage in order to make them more similar to their original alt-modes

 

Will you be doing non-cartoon characters like the Omnibots???...
