My, my, my! Didn't exactly love the last MMC figure I bought (Salvia) but this looks perfectly like Lost Light Megatron and is enough to be interested on it.

 

He looks nice! I think he's a tad too small, and that fusion cannon is bloody ridiculous (hopefully it's removable). But not a bad effort at all.  

 

And just like that I've lost all interest in Maketoy's upcoming version of Megs.

 

Is this Megatron's fabulous weekend ?

Holy...

This isn't my favourite Megatron design (that (dubious) honour still goes to the Stormbringer design, followed by the shortlived RiD design), but I saw the pic and was immediately hooked. Arm cannon is a bit big, but that's all the negative I can say right now. Although...not really feeling the jet altmode, especially considering that it apparently is very dependent on him having his cannon.


(Does make me hope that MMC will also do a IDW regular Magnus (not the maximus thingy), since the CW leader really is a bit too hollow and mostly too small.

 

Oooh, is he going to be a triple changer? That's obviously a jet mode, but then why does he have tank treads?

Hopefully that paint scheme isn't final too, he needs the red accents on his elbows, forearms and abdomen, as well as the darker grey scattered throughout.

 

There seems to be 2 versions of this figure? One as a tank, and one as a ship? I am getting the later.

 

I feel very conflicted. MTMTE Megs is probably my favorite design I want to see turned into a toy, so I'm happy it's happening...

Yet so many details are completely off from the design in the comic. Not sure what happened but it's like the designer had reference and still went 'whatever'. Arms, shinguards, chest, the red cylinders...all wrong (head is cool tho, but I know from a source that one used to be completely off at one point too). Some more refining would've helped. :-/

Oh...and even though his altmode is apparently only in one of Alex's sketchbooks, he clearly, clearly transforms into something with threads, right? So why did they go with a jet?

Will probably warm up to this, but again, probably cos I care about the design so much, my initial reaction is disappointment it's not close to perfect.  

 

That just became my most anticipated 3P figure, just ahead of MT Pointblank.

 

The jet uses treads as landing skids, but the large round cannon is nowhere to be seen on the jet.

I wonder if MMC is doing a Animated Marauder Megatron callback, at least in concept.
