The solution is simple, just include both white and red. I prefer the red.

He absolutely towers over them. Big big guy. I think ideally he'd be bout a head shorter than our Carnifex but I'd be happy with slightly above Hexatron size too. As long as he's decently big lol.

 

Well in all fairness I'm pretty sure the first official picks of this were of a completely different design and mould?
Admittedly that was before orders went up. But lots of companies make quite major changes to figures throughout the design process. It's almost standard procedure for companies like FansToys and XTB/KFC to change right up to coloured prototype or later.

 

I think about Hexatron size or just slightly larger would be right on the money for Dai Atlas.
Here's a small picture with Cyclonus and Whirl. With those two and Wing being Voyager scale you can get a really good idea of Dai Atlas's bulk and height.

 

Update on head status. Boss says white head will still happen and be included as a first release bonus.

He didn't specify psx so I would assume all copies of wave1. Guess I'll have to ask him to clarify just to be sure.

Just got a confirmation, every copy of wave 1 Aero will include both the new painted red cranium head and a second copy of the same head minus the red paint.

Sure does, which is the complete opposite we decided to do prior to that slide being made so either the slide isn't correct or it's changed. Either way it really does not mater at all as both will be included regardless.

 

So is the Deadlock repaint a remold of this guy.

 

Neither.

Deadlock is a repaint of Drift, not a repaint or remold of Wing.

 

Beta is still a remold of Alpha, but apparently they've been more differentiated in the new designs than they were in the old designs. There are fewer parts that are actually shared.

And whatever MMC calls Deadlock is likely a straight repaint of Beta.

 

They both have the same central tooling where the legs fold up at the front, the arms fold up in to the shoulders and the torso sits behind the cockpit with the front hood area being the butt flap and the two scabbards.

So it's not so much one being a retool of the other as it is two designs using the same basic tooling and then their externals being altered to suit their alt modes. So most of the limb parts are different save for the internals and the thighs and forearms which are shared between the Wing and Drift molds.

Drift and Deadlock in particular are the same exact mold but with a different head and chest plate between them.

 

Its just confusing because in the slides titles they have this guy as Aero Alpha recolor (Deadlock inspired) and I know that Deadlock is who Drift was before he became an Autobot,,and perhaps, they should call is something else. The figure is also re-tooled a bit so I thought that they were gonna make Deadlock from this guy, but I guess not. Thanks for the clarification. I think I kinda get it, Like if its Deadlock then it should be almost a straight up repaint of Beta right?

 

Deadlock is using the Drift version of the mold as it is vastly more appropriate given Drift n Dead are the same exact character. Think of it like how IronFactory handled him, they did the same exact thing mmc is doing. Same basic mold with different head n chest that references the same comic designs mmc is:
