I am very tempted by this, especially since Iron Factory seems to be heavily delayed.

So, assuming it’s under/around a $100 shipped, I’m down.

 

My GUESS is that A3U and ToyDojo will get a chance to sell first, as if at the Convention, then PSX will get it in a couple of weeks similar to how MMC's exclusives normally work, but I could very very easily be wrong.

 

I am pretty much living for this release right now! Honestly never thought it would happen (since so few of us were verbal about desire for it), and my girl is super-stoked to add him to her area of our TF display.

I've never ordered from Ages Three & Up before and am not sure what to expect as far as availability goes. Hopefully they will not sell out before I get mine ordered!

What is he supposed to be? I see people saying it’s Shattered Glass Ravage. Does that mean he’s a good ie Autobot version?

 

The toy can serve dual purposes. Originally, the colour scheme belonged to Glit, a Decepticon Surgeon, an e-Hobby recolour of G1 Ravage.

The colourscheme was later repurposed by FunPub for Shattered Glass Ravage, a lolcat-inspired social media personality and good Decepticon (Shattered Glass is evil Autobots/good Decepticons, not everybody on opposite factions).

 

Glit or SG Ravage, take your pick

 

As others have said the toy could be either Glit or SG Ravage, but to be "comic accurate" it would need a new head to be SG Ravage. Glit is originally from Kiss Players which if you don't know about it you might be happier staying in the dark (people either love the concept or loathe it, very little middle ground). This isn't really an "accurate" art style, but it does have both SG Ravage and Glit together, Ravage on the left, Glit on the right.



Several good pictures of SG Ravage here, you will clearly see that a standard Ravage head just doesn't work for a proper SG Ravage.

Officially, it's Glit. A G1 Decepticon from the KissPlay line. However, despite being a Decepticon, he is actually a "good guy" because he's a medic and treats both Autobot and Decepticon alike. Honestly, I'd say he's more neutral than anything.

Unofficially, he's both Glit AND SG Ravage. SG Ravage was originally a repurpose of the Glit figure before SG Ravage got his own official BotCon figure.

The packaging heavy suggests him to Glit. But since this is a 3rd party figure, it's not like you're going to see a purple OR red Decepticon badge on him. So it's up to you. You can slap a G1 Con logo on him and call him Glit. You can slap a SG Con logo on him and call him Ravage. Or you can make up your own fan canon for him, or her, if you want! Personally, I think if I manage to get him, I'll probably repurpose him as my own OC's pet since I have 2 white dogs and I used to have a white cat when I was a kid. So I'll probably repurpose this as a robot reincarnation of my late childhood kitty.

not for me, especially with the matte white, and i severely regret not taking on the last con exclusive Jaguar... just i didnt need the blue bird with it as i was getting the normal birds.

 

Maybe you can find someone willing to trade their blue cat for a white cat?

 

Anyone else thinks he’s a bit too angry for Glit? I alway found Glit funny cause he had such a mute expression like the G1 toy but this is meant to be more like a serious cat man.

 

My actual experience with Glit is very limited, but I would think just changing the shape of the eyes would fix it after looking at the pics on TFWiki.

 

Yeah. Maybe if you put some stickers there. But it’d be kinda hard.

 

Well, if he's too angry for Glit, make him SG Ravage looking for whoever stole his smartphone.

I went ahead and ordered 2 (first con exclusive I've ever gone over 1) of these just in case someone does a good SG Ravage head to put on one later. If not I'll just sell it later.

EDIT: 2nd one has been sold. Very disappointed no one has made an SG Ravage head.
